Terrible experience. Got charged for service even though it’s under 5 year warranty. The guy came in with two tools . Only to have to leave . Because he was unprepared . As we watch him work. Because it’s 165$ an hour . He eventually gets it on. But decides throws an old filter at our feet . Which in turns blowing a cloud of dust in your faces . Than leave the furnace running without a filter . Mind you This is after we spent 48 hours cleaning and vacuuming the basement for renovations. . Terrible service . Will never call these guys again. The only reasons I did is due to recommendation. Don’t bother . There’s no respect from the technicians photos shows the where the filter landed and where we were standing . That filter has never been changed . And has been in the furnace for atleast 4 years . Who know many pollens is on it . The house was originally own by an elder couple . Health prevent them from changing the filter on the furnace .Thanks Shaffer !
Only positive thing . He’s gone . In 30 minutes . I still have a cough though

Two years ago, they installed a new furnace and AC unit for me. Last year, the AC unit developed a leak, so when I turned it on early in the summer, it only blew hot air. I called them for service, thinking it was still under warranty, but they informed me that the warranty had just expired. They then offered to fix it for $150 per hour if I signed a contract. With no other option, I agreed, expecting it to take just one hour of labor. However, the mechanic stayed in his van for 9 hours while filling the unit with refrigerant. The total cost of the repair ended up being almost as much as the initial installation.

We had Shaffer Beacon replace our furnace with a new one, plus add a heat pump for central air. The entire process from quote to installation was seamless, professional and timely. Austin, Dave and the install crew were great to work with. They were knowledgeable, walked us through the install and were very tidy. Very nice guys- our dogs approved. Thanks again Brent and team for getting us our new system up and running.

Can’t recommend Shaffer Beacon Mechanical LLC enough!

My furnace died at the worst possible time. Another company I reached out to never got back to me when I asked further questions about our setup even after they had done our recent AC work. Needless to say we will be sticking with Shaffer Beacon from here on our!

We found out our unit was hooked up all wrong and Shaffer Beacon came within days to fix our situation. They give a very detailed qoute that was affordable and Brent explained every step of the process and educated us on why we needed a different furnace setup and why ours was unsafe.They showed up prompt on Monday and spent two days completely redoing our furnace setup. Everyone introduced themselves were extremely professional polite and down to earth! We were able to get a new thermostat that we can easily control from our phones! I can’t thank you all enough for making sure our family was warm and safe moving into the winter. Call them for any of your HVAC and plumbing needs

New Navien Combi gas boiler installed 12/17/22. Asked one of partners do I need to call for annual service told no we will reach out so in Nov of 2023 no one reached out, so I call and cannot get service until1/15/24. I was having issues with water leaking which I though was the box that holds neutralizing pebbles. Tech came I explained issue
He thought it was because the box was cracked. He told me he put a work order in, did not happen. Now leaks are getting worse. When I called office they had no work order. Yes I was frustrated!!! $12,000.00 for a unit!!! Leaks getting worse on call tech refused to come out! Tech stated if you need a part I probably do not have it on my truck. A few weeks go by, come home from work now have a puddle on my floor. Called Tech after begging to do his job came out and took a big plumbers wrench tightened a connection and tadah leak fixed!!! Do not need a new box. Now next morning no heat and I called and texted partner and his response was I doubt a drip is causing no heat! Tech that came turned gas valve off to tighten connection which solved leak but neglected to turn gas back on!!! So now sending me an invoice for over $400. How does a main connection come loose, install error, why does on on call tech refuse to come out! The part that was needed was a large plumbers wrench, pretty sure he had that on his HVAC truck! The pompous and arrogant attitude by Brent not at all appreciated and I am his cousin. NEVER DO BUSINESS WIITH FAMILY

Shaffer Beacon Mechanical has provided us with fine service for almost 20 years. Recently, their technician Dexter did seasonal maintenance on our heating system. He performed his work quietly and efficiently, answered our questions as he worked, and even explained the steps he was taking. He left the work area neater than he found it. I would like to commend Dexter on his work ethic. We will be requesting him when our next service is due.

My central air stopped working on a hot & humid day in July. I gave them a call, explained what was happening, and scheduled a service visit.

The morning of the service visit, I was called and asked if they could come a little earlier, and in between the waves of heat exhaustion that I was having 😅, I quickly said yes!

Mike, the HVAC technician, was great! He was very professional, knowledgeable, and answered all of the questions that I had. Even when Mike got my central air working again, which didn't take long (bad capacitor), he was very thorough with his diagnostic work. Mike pointed out how my coils were very dirty and asked if I wanted to clean them myself or have him do it. Not only did he thoroughly clean them, which he used a brush and a special chemical enzyme cleaner, my central air began to work even better after that service was performed (I used to keep the temperature on 66 degrees; now it's on 68-69 degrees).

Bottom Line: This was my first time ever using Shaffer Beacon Mechanical LLC, and with how things went, I will absolutely be calling them again in the future for any of my HVAC needs. A+
