I typically don't leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience! I was a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding and needed a simple hem adjustment for my dress, so I brought it here two months in advance. The dress only needed a few inches taken off the bottom, and no other alterations were required.

When I initially arrived, the seamstress took my measurements with the shoes I planned to wear, assuring me there was plenty of time to complete the alterations. However, when my dress was ready, I never received a call to inform me that it was finished, despite being told I would. When I finally received the dress, it was still far too long, and I ended up tripping over it on the wedding day. Considering I paid $150 to take a few inches off the bottom of the dress (which is more than the dress itself) I was extremely disappointed, especially given the ample time I provided for the alteration. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place based on my experience.

I've had alterations done beautifully by Sew it All before, so I knew they did quality work. But when I unexpectedly needed a simple clothing repair for a family member that was visiting us in Groton, and we didn't have the necessary tool, and we also needed it same day if at all possible as they were on travel, Sew It All took care of us quickly and efficiently around two other clients, and at a very reasonable price. So grateful for their willingness to have us come in and take care of us at the last minute - and on a holiday weekend! Highly recommend their services.

I have nothing but great things to say about this business! Beth is amazing and worked with me to create a beautiful custom made dress for my wedding. From her expertise, to learning about the custom dress making process, to adding lace and butterfly detailing from my fabric to my veil to match my dress the whole experience was absolutely amazing and I felt so confident and beautiful on my special day!! I must say the woman at Sew It All is incredibly talented and kind. I gave her a jumper with a broken zipper and a dress with a broken zipper and they are both much better than even when I bought them. I’ll definitely be back for any sewing needs!

I’m not sure what the average price for hemming is, but I paid $22 here and thought it was pricey. I don’t think she did a great job either.
