Very friendly service, however, last time I was in there I got sold a bunch of old chicken breast. I live 15 minutes away and did not want to drive back to return. Ended up feeding it to my dog and she got sick. I was super bummed because I like supporting small businesses, just make sure you check your items for freshness.

I picked up a couple of really great steaks, and some fresh homemade country sausage. It was about a 10 minute drive from Martinsville, but I really enjoyed the country store atmosphere. They serve grill type food (hamburgers, sandwiches, breakfast, burritos, breakfast biscuits.) I think I’ll try some of their offerings the next time I’m there.

Excellent pork products. I've ordered bulk here, ask at the desk. Great sausage, plus other regional meats. If you can get here in the morning they have coffee and biscuits. Worth the drive.

This shop is amazing! They had fresh meats, honey, vegetables, other goods, and on days they make hot sausage biscuits! We purchased some meats and honey, and the meat was really full of flavor and tasted wonderful. It was really different compared to market meats which have such a subtle taste. Would recommend!

Ms Yvonne is so wonderfully amazing, friendly, polite, helpful, caring, experienced, knowledgeable and a great southern country accent. Our first stop we was just randomly driving thru, & run up on this cute little family owned & operated business. We decided to stop, & I -Jinna, talked to Ms. Yvonne for about a hour or so. My husband Johnny, our 5 year old son, Jaxson and myself decided to buy: green bell pepper plants, squash plants, cabbage plants, Tommy toe tomatoes plants, beef master plants, and I had to have the beautiful vinvinca flower plants. I got 1-6pk of the beautiful red/pink bloomed/colored ones, & 1-6pk of the beautiful white bloomed/colored ones. I talked with Ms. Sweet Yvonne about the type of flower plant I was purchasing, being it is my very first time EVER, dealing with these particular flower plants. I shared my idea with her about how, I had to do a DIY home project on my bathroom, replaced the toilet, as well as the flooring under it, which was 5/8in thick, twice, for a more sturdy, & supposedly permanent gold, but was come across excessive water damage & needed to fix/replace everything correctly/properly for a good and nice looking job, to last this time. I kept & thoroughly cleaned up the entire toilet we took out, washed, & sanitized it, 💯💯% just to make sure. And pulled out all the guts and bottom plug from the tank. Well I used the old toilet in my front yard, by our Indian peach tree, & planted all my flower plants, I think they're called vivinca (I'm not 💯% sure of the exact spelling, sorry). And Ms Yvonne and I talked, she asked me to send pictures of what it turns out to look like. And I did. I sent her the pictures, & she absolutely loved/adored my idea/creative art work. Our next visit, we returned our glass milk jar, & requested if she could make some homemade cow patties... don't you know she made them the very next morning & text to let us know they were ready, we stopped in & bought the whole dozen from her, & y'all my husband couldn't have been happier. He loves them, & I agree they have been amazing. We live 50 minutes - 1 hr & 10 minutes away, one way...but it's all well worth the trip & we'll continue to do our business with her. We thank you so much Ms Yvonne and you are amazing and awesome and the bestest. We absolutely love you & your positive attitude, your care for your customers, and caring, loving thoughts for the customers. Best chicken biscuit I’ve ever had! Egg was cooked perfectly, biscuit melted like butter in your mouth, and the chicken was better than any sausage I remember eating (Alpha-Gal). Highly recommend stopping and getting your breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays at Sandy River Pork!

Great sausage! Best I've tried. Meat with no steroids or antibiotics. Great pork chops and steak! Chicken tastes better than any grocery store products. Didn't like the bacon. Too used to chemicals in bacon I guess. Give them a try!
