I Never leave bad reviews, but I've also never been treated with such ignorance either. I've been getting deliveries from here for about a year now. I order delivery about every other day. Most of the time, the Main course I'm getting are sold out and when I try to "chat" with the shopper they never come to the chat to see what substitution I want. They literally just send me all sides and no main dish. Another issue, which is part of what happened today, they shop for the "hot fresh" foods hours before my delivery. By the time I get the food it is wet soggy and cold. So today I made an order that contained hot chicken. I got a text 2 hours before saying my delivery was assembled. I called them to ask If the chicken could not be sitting out till my delivery, or if they wanted to go ahead and send the delivery, I was home and they could do that.. The lady didn't understand my language (English) and she hung up on me. About 10 minutes later I saw that my order had been "canceled". I called the store back to ask if my order was canceled, and I was hung up on with no answer. I called back a second time and got the same lady on the phone that couldn't understand me before, and I asked if my order was canceled and all she said was "okay" and hung up. I called back to speak with a manager and the manager told me she was going to replace the hot foods, but for me Not to call back unless my order was Late. Um.. No. I called because I needed to know if my order was canceled or not because it said canceled on the app. She proceeded to talk over me and before I knew it was a yelling match. I hung up because I'm not going to stand there and be interrupted and spoken to like that when I ONLY CALLED TO CHECK AND SEE IF MY ORDER WAS CANCELED OR NOT, Which is a Legitimate reason for me to call! After I hung up the "manager" from the delivery department called my phone back 5 TIMES. I told her NOT to call my phone and that what she was doing is Harassment! I Then called to speak to the GM and a lady got on the phone claiming she was the GM and told me not to order from there anymore and that I wasn't allowed to shop there because,,,, get this,,, she said I was cussing out Her employee!!!! I NEVER ONCE Cussed out her employee! She said all the calls are recorded, so I told her she needs to go listen to the calls, because her employee Lied to her! I was trying to ask if my order was canceled and her employee kept talking over me instead of listening to what I was asking her. I've been shopping here for a year and use this service about 4 times a week. I spend a lot of money here, feeding a family of 4, and these people could care less about the families that shop there. Both times I tried to speak to the delivery manager and then the so called GM, and I was met with hostility and them talking over me so I couldn't even voice the concerns or issues. And then I'm told not to shop there anymore because I was cussing. Nope, I wasn't cussing. LISTEN TO THE PHONE RECORDINGS PLEASE! I had to raise my voice because Both managers were on the phone arguing with me and talking over me and not listening to what the issue was in the first place. Oh and when I asked her who the GM was she wouldn't tell me, and then after a cple of minutes she claimed to be the GM. After reading other reviews about this place and talking to others that have had the same issues with the delivery department,, I understand why people cringe when they learn I shop delivery from Safeway. I'll Definitely be sticking to City Market from now on. They are 10 times better than Safeway and their produce, hot foods, and everything is Always exceptional. They are a little more expensive, but it will be worth spending the extra money there, knowing I'll get my order correctly and with no hassle or rude people. I've NEVER had a problem with City Market. I've Never had Any issues Anywhere in this town. Until now, with these two "managers" at Safeway. That place is really going down hill with its reputation. Hopefully the owner will see this and will listen to the recorded calls also

Terrible, crowded. Lack of employees. Boxes and carts in the isles. Seems like they do all their night stocking in the middle of the day. Hard to find anyone who understands “where is…____”

Tried getting 2 steaks from meat department, no help for 10 minutes, then approached 2 employees who said, someone will be there soon instead of getting someone, then approached same guy twice but still know help because it wasn't his department, even saying he was a manager. Then accused me of being one of those people, whatever that means but yes, I'll defend myself if that's what he meant. Bad store and manager, calling higher up next few days, been here last couple weeks and same issues but this one was the worst.

I love Safeway. There is always fresh food . There is a wide variety of items . There is a Starbucks inside. They have a deli . They fresh packaged food . There are household items . The store is always well maintained and clean . It is big . The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place .

The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is simply just because their prices tend to be a bit higher than other places. With that being said, I still choose to come here because it is convenient and also a bit pricier I can always find what I am looking for, it’s clean, easy to navigate, and their staff is pretty great. I have never had any issues anytime I have had to ask about something or just in general. I’m usually able to get in and out unless it’s ski season and well you aren’t going to find a place you can get in and out during this time. I love their rewards program, and they seem to always be having great sales on everyday products.

This place is awesome. I'm from Hawaii and I found Ahi to make fresh Poke. Their fish department isn't huge but it has a good variety of regional seafood including lobster, clams, mussels and shrimp from down south -
