Great place to get meats that aren’t given hormones or antibiotics. Meats are non-gmo and pasture raised. Friendly customer service as well.

We found this hidden GEM when our usual wild game processor was already full for the day at 10am on the second day of the season. We were so impressed by the process, people, and final product. They made us feel that our business was important to them and not just an order number to get in/out the door. TRULY appreciate the team at Rocky Mountain Meats!!!
If you get a chance, sample the BRICK CHILE. It's amazing!!!
Can't wait to see you all next hunting season!!

TERRIBLE customer service!! Dropped off 2 elk, de-boned, cleaned & only wanted them to make ground. Upon picking up & taking home, we were 50 lbs short. Called owner, he said to bring in so they can weigh finished product. Drove back to Denver from co springs, they weighed & agreed 50 lbs short. Refunded me for the difference. However he said they never want to do business with me again!? So I asked to take back my 2nd season elk I had dropped off earlier (they had not started making sausage yet) and he refused. He was rude, terrible at customer service, didn't offer any reason why we were 50 lbs short. Also said he shouldn't even offer ground cause they don't make any money. I will never go back & am telling all my hunting buddies.

The guy was really rude when I told him I had misplaced my receipt even though I had called ahead to make sure it would not be an issue.
The lady was really rude about storage fees. They charged a huge fee for a very small 6×12 package. If they had been pleasant it would not have been as big of an issue but apparently they do not value customer service.

I told my dad if he wants me to take his game in for him he needs to find a place that treats their customers right. I refuse to patron a place that treats their customers so rudely.

Our first choice of processor was closed the day we got our buck. We brought in a liver-shot mule deer that I for sure expected to be tainted because of our inexperience with field dressing, but they managed to process it perfectly. Just had some of the tenderloin steaks and they were amazing. They could use some better communication and time management improvements but overall I'm happy with the service.

I went in to purchase sausage casings and pork fat to make my own burger and sausages and was treated rudely and told that if they can’t make it for me they don’t want to supply me with the means to do it myself, despite the fact I was purchasing items they have for sale. They also told me they mix their elk burger with 50% pork and pork fat, so essentially if you bring your elk here you’re not getting elk burger, you’re getting half pork and half elk burger, which is just weird. The guy seemed to think this was okay and when I indicated I thought it wasn’t he was dismissive and acted like it was totally normal because that’s what they always do. They’re focused on turnover and not quality or customer experience.

Do not go here, I was rudely turned down simply because my carcass had some grass on it that they didn't want to wash. I offered to be given a hose and wash it right there myself but they still refused. They don't respond to the door quickly, the guy seemed to be in a bad mood simply because I showed up.

I went a few miles away to another meat processing place and they immediately took my carcass no questions no problem and were happy to do it.

I will not be returning to Rocky Mountain Meats again.

I have used these guys three different times and they have progressively gotten worse with their service after each time. Last year, their facility supposedly caught fire and we didn't get our meat until two months after drop off. I doubt it was the same meat we dropped off but there's no way to prove that. I was issued a discount coupon for my troubles that they refused to honor in the end this year . This year it took them three months to process our meat. Once they finally processed it they called me one time and left a message on my voicemail telling me that if I don't hurry up and pick it up there's a $25 per day holding fee for every day that they hold my elk there . They also went on to say that they've tried contacting me several times, which is odd because I only had one voicemail and no other calls from them. They acted annoyed that I was there to pick it up, gave me an attitude and refused to help me carry it to the car even . This business used to be great until the original owners retired and their entitled millennial children took over. It's a shame, they will be out of business soon.
