I won a raffle at my daughters school for guest passes for this place and I am so happy I did! It was our first time there and we definitely plan on going back for the summer. They had a cute scavenger hunt that was perfect for my daughter and it gave her more incentive to read the educational text next to the animals. Can't wait to go back. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well!

Decided to check out Riverside after many recommendations and we were so happy we did! We planned on popping in to check it out but time just flew past us. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable and genuinely loves the animals they keep and care for. Super excited to take more of my reptile heads to check this place out! Very family friendly as well!

We had the best time visiting Riverside Reptiles! We had four kids ages 3-11 plus two adults and everyone loved it. If you are able to, book the private encounter for your visit. It was so fun for the kids to hold a snake and watch a lizard crawl around. Highly recommend! We could have stayed all day watching the animals. We were so impressed with their level of care, you can tell they are all living a great life!

We love this place! We usually spend at least 2 hours here. My 4 year old loves all of the venomous snakes and the bug cave is a favorite as well. I never feel like the space is overcrowded and everything including bathrooms is very clean. The animals seem to be well cared for. The animal educators are very knowledgable and you can tell they really care about the animals. We live 1.5 hours away but we are thinking about having my son's birthday party here next year because it is such a great place! Highly recommend. (I'm not even that into reptiles, but I love it here.)

Our family loves to visit Riverside Reptiles. It’s an easy and fun indoor activity for the kids, the space is enclosed so you don’t have to worry too much about where your children have gone, there are lots of interesting animals to see, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They will often bring out animals and let the kids interact with them and tell you more about them. Our son has gone five+ times and still manages to spend over an hour each time without getting bored. There are always a few families, but it is never truly crowded, even when there are birthday parties going on. It’s a perfect activity for an hour or two of indoor entertainment.

Wonderful place! Affordable entry, educational and pleasant for any animal enthusiast. We got in and saw both the snake and alligator programs, enjoyed the turtle yard, almost got the scavenger hunt, and many good memories!

Come and visit this spectacular reptile "zoo" and educational center! Unique in Connecticut, it's skillfully arranged displays are decorated to match the animals' native habitats, and each has concise and accurate informational labels. This large collection includes native species as well as rare and exotic species. The director, Brian Kleinman, has been a top notch herpetologist all of his life, and under his direction, the care of these animals is outstanding.

Among the exhibits are included rare exotic fish, a room with unusual and exotic insects and other invertebrates, and a delightful outdoor garden with beautiful enclosures for turtles and tortoises.

It truly is a Must See destination!
