Got a call because I “won” a free emergency preparedness kit in a “drawing.” Receiving this kit turned into a 3 HOUR sales pitch inside my house at 7pm (yes, that means they didn’t leave until 10pm…). When I scheduled the delivery of the gift over the phone, all I was told was that they wanted to give us some fire safety information as well. I figured it would be a quick 15-minute sales pitch about fire extinguishers or something on my porch. They used intense emotional manipulation and trauma baiting (people who lost children in fires, and talking about my sister and cats potentially being lost in a fire) to try to sell a $5000+ system of overpriced smoke detectors. We ended up having to tell the sales guy we weren’t interested at least 5 times before he made us post a photo of ourselves with the emergency kit on Facebook so they could use us to generate more leads (we deleted the post immediately). I would have considered patronizing this place before the absolute nightmare unfolded.

My wife and I could not be happier with the free gift. We used it last year out camping without it I might not have made it back to the vehicle. This is part of our emergency bug out kit/hiking kit very big necessity we fill. Thank you very much for all the information was very helpful and very insightful.
