I started in the building performance industry in 2013, and used a competitor's equipment for my previous job. When I started my own company, the first thing I did was switch to Retrotec equipment when it was time to buy my own. Not only is it a superior product, but the customer service I've experienced is better than I could have hoped for. The knowledge and training that Sam Myers puts out there (for free!) is a gold mine. I even convinced my former employer to buy some Retrotec blower door systems and DucTesters for his raters to try out, and they prefer this equipment over the competition now. After testing literally thousands of houses, my advice is to just stick with the best tools for the job.

We have been using the Retrotec blower door systems for over a year now. It’s easy to use and the customer support from Retrotec is great. We are a custom home high performance builder and the Retrotec is a critical tool in achieving air tight construction. We test our houses multiple times during the build with the blower door and smoke generator. Working with the pros at RetroTec to select our blower door, manometer and flow hood equipment was both simple and efficient. Product delivery was prompt, setup was intuitive and the equipment functions flawlessly. I just finished another outstanding interaction with Retrotec and thought I would give them a pat on the back. I first interacted with them when I started my company in 2014. At that time, Louisiana was incorporating a required code compliance test for air leakage of the building envelope and each independent duct system. From the very beginning Retrotec's staff was incredibly helpful. They listened to my questions/concerns and each time came up with a satisfactory solution.
