Needed to return a pair of defective gloves but the guy up front was pretty rude about it and wouldn’t do it because he “couldn’t resell them.” I used to work there and would definitely do returns for defective products, especially for long standing members. Unfortunate experience and honestly, if REI has meh customer service and doesn’t stand behind product quality, might as well shop at Sierra down the street for cheaper.

My wife and I finally decided it was time to get our own Ski Equipment - Boots, Skis, Bindings and Poles. We knew we were going to Copper to get our custom boots. At the resort, we asked multiple places the best place to get Skis and Bindings. They mentioned the big box stores had the best collection, but 4/4 shops at Copper said "REI has the most knowledge of the three". So, we headed to REI in Dillon. They were correct! We went to the Ski section, and were immediately approached by Charlie M. He was thorough, knowledgeable, asked all of the right questions, and was very patient and friendly. After fielding all of our many questions, we both ended up with the Skis and Bindings we wanted. In the process, we interacted with Chloe a few times (mostly during the selection of bindings). She was also very friendly and attentive. To top it all off, my wife and I are sometimes impatient, and even though it was late in the day, Chloe committed to setting the bindings so we didn't have to make the drive again down to Dillon the following day. Excellent customer service, and something she didn't have to do. Coming from NC, I've always had great service at REI. However, our experience with Charlie M and Chloe was above and beyond what was expected. If you are in the market for Skis/Bindings/Boots and are in the Silverthorne, Dillon, Frisco, Breck, Keystone, Copper, Leadville areas - I would highly recommend the REI Ski shop!

Nice store to shop for ski stuff and other outdoors type activities. Limited selections on my particular need and the one I picked seemed to be outrageous in price but I don’t think it was the stores pricing and it was just after Christmas so it’s most likely my timing. The service was excellent.

I had a great experience having my mtn bikes serviced at REI in Dillon. Their expert service on several maintenance items has my well ridden bikes back in top condition and ready for next the season.

Allow 15 people in the store at a time. Great but the outdoor greeter doesn't pay attention so you stand in line only to later find out you have to sign up online to get in. Then you can't look at the shoes on the wall. You have to ask from 10' or so back to see the display shoe. Extreme waste of time. I will not return to any REI after today.

The helpful staff in the shop reserved a bike for me while I made the drive to pick it up. They helped me with a test ride and making sure the bike was in good shape for me to ride out with it. Great deal on a bike someone else returned, I’m very happy with my experience there.
