Aaron is awesome, I came in with no breaks a sprocket that was all discombobulated, no notice at all, late in the evening, and Aaron got right on my bicycle. with in 1 hour, I was on my way riding with brand new brakes and new sprocket lubricated chain, a brand new gel cushion seat, add a price no one could beat. Thank you Aaron! Richie

I found out about Aaron Goss through a Google Search for someone to work on my specialized Schumpf drive. I was really lucky to find him. From what I can tell, he is the only person in the US with the knowledge of how to fix these German made drives, and he has the parts to do so. My repair was done quickly and the process for the cross country repair was very efficient. The website is extremely detailed (yes all those items are clickable links - didn't realize that at first) and explains just about everything if you click enough. The invoice nicely detailed all the charges which is something you don't see too often. After my experience with Aaron, and after reading about other specialty items that he has repaired I have come to the conclusion that he really is a Jedi Master of sorts when it comes to bicycles. He does not back down from a challenge!

The tensioner bolt in my beloved Brooks saddle fell out while I was transporting my bike on a bike rack. I found Rat City Bikes and Aaron Goss by Googling Brooks saddle repair. Aaron expertly repaired and restored my saddle to good-as-new condition for what, considering the price of a new Brooks saddle, was a very fair price. We are all lucky there are still folks around who can actually fix the great old-time classic things.

I am so glad I can go to my neighborhood bike shop for quick repairs and updates to my bike. I just walked in got a seat, went home and started to try to put the seat on... got seriously confused and came right back, lol. The shop owner was super helpful and kind and put the seat on for me. And he helped me pump my tires, adjusted my brakes and put on a cool little license plate for me. Thank you so much for your help!!!

I had learned about Aaron Goss through an email group I was on, that he was an expert on old English 3-speeds. I live in Utah, and my job sometimes takes me to different parts of the country for weeks at a time, so, when a job came up in Seattle, I seized the opportunity to ship my old Raleigh along with other equipment. He may seem a little gruff at first, and I half-expected him to tell me to just throw that old junker away, but he kept saying "Yeah, we can fix that" to all the things I pointed out. I spent a lot of money, but the total was less than the estimate, and this old bike, that I bought second-hand over 40 years ago, has never been better! Aaron said he enjoyed the project, and I am absolutely thrilled and over-joyed with the results! I also appreciated the meticulously detailed invoice.

Cool shop, cool owner who knows his stuff. Went in for a bike but no idea what I wanted, he told me what size fits me and walked me through what he had available--I found the perfect gem. I explained that I was strapped for cash until payday and he was super helpful and worked out a deposit so I could back later, pay the rest, and retrieve the bike. Looking forward to going back for future tuneups and gear!

I really appreciate the service from Aaron and his crew. I was a drop-in last night with difficult to change tubeless MTB tires and they took care of it on the spot. Bonus: I got to browse the shop merchandise and the outstanding lending library. Check it out.

Update for 7/13: Excellent work on a hydraulic brake bleed, new rotors and pads. Mike stayed a little late to get it done, which is really appreciated. I also had a chance to listen to the other guy give some advice and guidance to a woman who wanted to improve her favorite bike. He was like a low key teacher to an eager student, and it was impressive. She had pink MTB tires - never seen that!

Brought my road bike in for a tune up, I was happy with the turnaround time and the servicing. My only feedback is with respect to my interactions with the staff. After responding to a question of theirs saying I didn't race with my bike, I was questioned as to why I had a racing bike (it's a nice bike but nothing special) why I had clip ins, and dropped bars (in addition to other things). The tone felt condescending and a little misogynistic, and I felt like I was having to defend my setup (even though its comfortable for me, and I've been riding with that configuration for years). I'm not a pro, but I'm a proficient cyclist and felt like I was being spoken to like a child. While I imagine their comments were good intentioned and coming from a place of expertise, the experience made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated.
