Expensive for nothing.

The two chains I ordered didn’t last long. The teeth are really brittle so the entire tooth breaks even if you are cutting clean soft hardwood with no rocks or metal.

When the teeth break and can’t be sharpened, you have to discard them. Leaving more teeth on one side versus the other making it cut poorly and crooked.

For the price of one of these chains, you can buy an electric sharpening tool and multiple Oregon chains and still be on top.

Purchased a chain for cutting PVC.. Figured if the fire departments depend on it to cut through roofing, layers and layers of wood, shingles and nails. It should work just fine on plastic. Well 4 cuts in and damaged carbide and teeth broken off, broken off! givin the warranty statement says to expect damage to carbide when cutting "hard objects" such as "rocks or steel". and that fire department chain is not guaranteed. Whelp after talking with Rick I've established that no chain is guaranteed even if you damaged the chain cutting through butter. But he is willing to repair the carbide and send it back knowing it cant withstand plastic. I would like to note that all the teeth that were still there were sharp, only a couple broke off and the rest of the carbide was damaged. seems like broken teeth and damaged carbide would be a manufacturing defect. Don't expect Rick to stand beside his warranty statement. expect a replacement, but never a refund.
