I stayed here while my power was being restored. There were no issues with cleanliness. The staff was friendly. The price of the room was affordable as well.

Wow I’ve never thought I would be the type of person to write a review. But when I entered the Quality Inn, I knew I was changed for the worst. Quality inn? More like quality out. I was looking for rest and relaxation and instead got roaches & infestation. Upon walking in, there was no security, no safety, what about my kids? In between me and my room was a hall covered in water damage. It was like my own personal Shining. Our door, of course, looked like someone took a knife to try to break in. But why would someone want to break in, instead of break out. This was my never ending thought by the end of my 2 night stay. When I first entered, I was hit with a foul odor and immediately felt the instinct to scratch my head. As I looked at the room I was appalled by the abysmal conditions. Immediately I locked eyes with a roach which scurried behind the headboard. (I never saw it again… this would come to haunt me). I wanted to throw up but I realized someone already gotten too comfy on the chair (see photo below). To my horror there was a circular stain on the sheets of the bed. A bed that I would soon spend the next two nights crying myself to fitful state as I waited for the roaches to crawl over me… My eyes widened as I looked up to the popcorn ceiling and to my surprise (not) the fire alarm was hanging by a measly wire looking as lifeless as I felt at that very moment. I knew I needed to cleanse myself from the sights I had just seen. But when I stepped inside the confines of the bathroom, I shivered to my very core. The wall was falling off. The tub was vaguely reminiscent of the NYC subway. The moldy tiling, gum plastered on the side, and of course two more roaches. (Because why not?) What horrors lie beyond the cracks in the walls? I wanted to wash away this awful nightmare but with one glance there was a severe lack of towel. What happened to providing the bare necessities? (Or is this an unreasonable expectation?) To make matters worse, the volunteer behind the desk informed me there were no towels left. No quality and no quantity.

After a fitful night of tossing and turning where I clutched my children, quite literally because the beds were so small, we made our way through the lobby to the “continental” breakfast. Just when I thought the quality inn had reached rock bottom, I was met with the so-called breakfast display. Is this a cruel joke? This brokefast included individually wrapped pastries as to not attract the roaches, and waffle batter that could only be described as paint thinner (see video below). I almost got whiplash in my haste to escape this house of horrors. If I could give negative stars, I would but instead of stars I would put frowny faces.

Positive: "" Negative: I?m 74 husband 88. ZERO grab/safety bars in bathtub. Nothing to reach for balance. Hair dryer not working. Originally put on second floor - tried 3 different pass keys plus master key 10:00 at night. Finally moved to first floor.

Positive: The bed was comfortable Negative: We had someone who kept knocking on our hotel door starting at 5:00 in the morning. Had do not disturb sign hanging up as well, and staff came through the following morning banging in the door as well.

The hotel is a but run down but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was disappointing. But the clerk when we checked in was delightful. Price was fair. Overall, satisfied.

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Martinsville, Virginia, for two nights.||Good News:|1. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.|2. Location was excellent.||Bad News:|1. Hotel is generally fraying and could use a major upgrade.|2. Breakfast was only mediocre, for example, no cereals/milk were offered, and the only hot food (other than toast) was a waffle. The breakfast room refrigerator was poorly stocked and once depleted, was not refilled.|3. The bathroom had issues: black mold on the ceiling and no handholds on the bathtub.

My stay at the Quality Inn in Martinsville, VA was perfect! The staff was nice. Lobby area was clean. The room smelled pleasant when entering. I love how the room door closed all the way automatically without loud slamming. My stay was quiet and peaceful. The room in general was very clean as well. 10/10 recommend!

Positive: The breakfast that was included. One of the best for this price range room! Negative: Room furniture is long due for replacement. Pretty poor couch. Bed wasn?t bad but could feel the coil springs in the mattress.
