Hired Preferred Welding to build a simple no climb pasture fence. Was told they do this all the time. Original bid was not honored, crew of 4 turned into that had never built a fence like this (was told they would try and find more help from Craigslist), constructed 50 linear feet less than designed, did not have the proper tools - broke my shovel and left concrete in my wheelbarrow, poor construction at best (gates installed backwards, fence line crooked, slack fencing) and I have had to correct many errors myself. May be great at welding but buyer beware outside of that.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE TO DO ANY JOB FOR YOU. Any other company would be better. When asking for a quote for the welding job, we initially wanted to get window bars and a grate for our basement. They're prices turned out to be too much so we decided to go for the grate only which was initially offered at $300 dollars but Dustin decided to bump it up to $500. Still though we agreed to go with that price. Later on without any contact for weeks he emails out of nowhere stating that the grate was finished even though we did not agree on design or material. I didn't even see the grate at all for crying out loud!. I told him that the amount of time that had passed was ridiculous, there was no agreement on the grate he made himself, and most importantly no contract. He then threatened me to go to court. Being the nice person I am I decided to agree anyways. Then on the day of the scheduled installation, the team doesn't even show up or contact you that they aren't coming. Unprofessional, unpleasant, only self-interested, and despicable are the only words I can provide for these people.

Would not recommend. Work was done on time and completed in a timely manner. Crew left a bag of concrete and lumber on site. Also,fence door hinge area was left with a big crack in the fence area. Also fence door sitting on drain gutter run door fence post are not level causing the door to pull away from the fence post. Finally Crew used nails on the fence instead of screws and even with that there were spots they missed nailing the fence. Poor quality and I have the feeling we will have to hire someone else to do it right. Save your money and time. Get someone that's not going to rush though it and cares about what there doing.

Had a patio cover build by Dustin and his crew of Preferred Welding. They built the cover just the way I had visualized I wanted it. The cost was more than fair. They were very professional from beginning to end. I prefer to deal with veterans when ever I can, and I was very pleased with the way everything turned out.
