Quiet and calm/peacefully very clean parking area and marina. The public restrooms very well kept and clean. McMenamins and a tiny log cabin with a crackling warm fireplace just down road from main hotel

Beautiful weekend at the Port of Kalama, they have thought of everything, outside entertainment, the market place is beautiful with exquisite stores, we stayed at the lodge which was perfect I highly recommend it

Really nice place. There are beaches on both sides of the pier with free parking. Right off of I-5 along the Columbia is River 30 miles north of Portland. Has riverfront playground, beaches, public parks and marina as well as the McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge.

While we didn’t stay at the hotel we found it inviting with a waterfront restaurant and Cloud lounge on the top floor overlooking the River. They also have their own in-house brewery for their Hammerhead Ale.

Just north of the hotel parking lot is an amphitheater where they are having movie nights in July. You need to look up their web site for more.

What a fantastic find here with a really nice little museum with historical displays and free admission. Lots of pamphlets, tourist brochures and some freebies too. Could have spent more time here but was travelling north to Seatac and was on a relatively tight schedule.

Besides the very helpful security guard who was very down to earth, compassionate and a decent human being the logic for the port is secretive and discriminating to say the least. You my not sit in your car on any property they own after 11pm without showing documentation that you reside on or are preparing to reside on your moored sailboat . Security is great if you have enough money and time to wait for their acceptance of you along with your money.

In December, illumination on boats event is hold here. You can eat some snacks such as hotdogs, nachos. Also hot drinks, water you can buy. of course beer. Very cold and windy outside of the tent. Better to wear warm clothes.
