First ever visit to Pedal Power and I’m a happy camper.
Staying at Hammonasset campground and needed a new chain. They told me it would be later in the afternoon before they could get to it because they were in catch up mode.
It wasn’t more than an hour before I got a text that the repair was done. Wow!
I thought for sure they were going to try to sell me a new bike “I definitely need one” but they just replaced the chain and told me that my bike needs some love. Oh! They also tightened up the rear tire, which was a bit wobbly.
Cheap fix and great service.

This shop is outstanding
Came for a di2 battery issue, they found corrosion all throughout my handlebars. Being that it was a safety issue they took it upon themselves to gift me some donated handlebars.

Pedal Power in Essex is routinely great and rarely mediocre. Their technicians are skilled enthusiasts who do outstanding work, and they carry a lot of retail stock for a small bike shop at competitive prices. It's just that every once in a while they hire a salesman who really shouldn't be working there. If you go there enough you know who that person is. Otherwise I highly recommend Pedal Power in Essex.

Todd, Todd, Chris and Greg in the Essex store were great during my warranty return. They handled everything with Specialized and the process was surprisingly quick and painless. They got me into a new bike and I’m very happy. Todd even went home to get one of his personal bikes to show me when the model wasn’t available in the store. Overall, a great experience! Thanks

I had a shifter cable that I suspected had stretched and partially frayed. When I called they asked how many miles on my chain, and I explained that the chain was not that old. When I got there I told them I checked the chain wear with my own gauge and it was fine. The mechanic checked the cable and voila! Quick fix, reasonable price, and I was on the road in 20 minutes. Thanks for saving my ride on a beautiful sunny and cool day!

Todd H. Is a gem of a man and a skilled technician. He recently helped me with 2 of my patient’s rollators (walkers) that were broken. He actually stopped was he was doing to fix them, and was so kind and quick, because he understood the importance that not everyone can pedal, but everyone should be able to walk. I would recommend him and pedal power to anyone in need not just of bicycle repair, but also this type of repair that not many people offer. Thank You, Todd, the world needs more people like you.
