I had a great experience dealing with Orca's team designing and installing a quartz top on a double vanity sink which I purchased from Royal Cabinets. Hoyt has an excellent eye for design and the final product looks sensational.

I noticed some reviews mentioning having to wait for a quote. I would suggest that having patience pays off... Orca does quality work with a lean staff. That reduces overhead which is to the consumer's benefit, as is waiting for Hoyt to work with you. I found I could trust him implicitly and value his experience and artistic eye.

So went to their nice show room on Canyon. Talked to Stephanie who gave us a long explanation on how they take care of everything. That the owner comes to the slab wholesaler of your choice and makes sure that the slab is okay. Then you get to pick the layout on that slab. Then they cut it in their shop, deliver and install it with no subs. Seal the granite in the shop and again at the install. All I’m thinking is “great, this is going to cost a lot”. Then she emails a quote and I was amazed that the price was better than all my other quotes. Hoyt spent almost an entire Tuesday picking out a slab then came to our house to do the template. Hoyt’s son then does all the fabrication in their shop. The crew came out and installed it that Friday. The crew was amazing! Custom countertops in less than one week... Unheard of. The countertops where flawless. The pic is my 4x10’ island (installed but not finished).

I went in on a Thursday after I filled out their form online. Yes, Stephanie schooled me a lot on quartz (what we were initially going to get) but after the stories, decided on Granite. Gave her a copy of our layout and measurements. Said I’d be back with husband on Saturday. Along comes Saturday morning. My husband and I went there, bright and early. Owner was there and a young woman. The owner helped us out. We chose a color in Quartz we liked and one in Granite. Again, we did decide on Granite. The owner had all our info. Said he would get back to us later that Saturday. Nothing happened. I called in on Monday. Stephanie said she had no information on what happened Saturday and would call the owner and see what was going on. All she kept telling me was they were “short staffed”. Well this is now Wednesday and no one has called or emailed us from Orca. I guess they didn’t need our business.
We have gone with someone else. They contacted me right away! I gave them same info I gave Orca. But they got us a quote and put us on schedule for when we asked, all in 24 hours time! That’s GREAT service!

Took over a week to get an estimate back to me. Every other place is that day or the next. But they said it's because they're busy, meanwhile when they were showing me countertops. They said they were giving away free sinks because they were slow. So which is it? Are you so busy that you can't do an estimate on a decent timetable or are you so slow that you giving away free sinks. I think it's because you don't have people that know what they're doing working there, and you have to get it to somebody else that actually knows how to do an estimate. Not to mention when I finally did get the estimate back it was on the higher end of all the other estimates I've received. Do yourself a favor, Read all of these reviews they all have the same thing in common. They either don't get back to you or take too long to get back to you with an estimate. They always respond. We're sorry but they never fix the problem. Business is destined to go out of business with that kind of customer service. Go to the next place and save your time. They obviously can't fix the simple things how to run an efficient business

We had a very large and complex job, full of tight fits in tricky places, waterfalls, etc. The sales team was easy to work with, responsive, nice, and flexible with all of our scope additions and adjustments until we got to the final layout. Slab selection was easy (we went with granite), and the owner of the company even offered to join us at the granite yard (we used MSI who has a tremendous selection and good discounts with Orca that were passed onto us). The templating was done very well, though I’d have liked to have had the chance to review seam locations and to ensure I got the small overhang I had wanted on my island. There was a bit of disconnect along the way between the schedulers and installers regarding the amount of time they would need, so our job extended a few weeks beyond what we had planned. However, Orca proactively offered us a very nice discount at the end of the job because of the length of the installation, which was a very nice surprise and something I doubt most companies would be so kind as to offer. Yes, there were a few bumps, but they remained committed to serving our needs, and the waterfalls were executed beautifully with mitred edges and continuous patterning.

I wouldn’t give this place one star but I had to put something in to give my review. My husband and I visited this establishment this week and was not impressed. Wish I would’ve read the reviews before my visit. When we first walked in the gentleman looks up and then looks down, no hello or how can we help you. After we tried to walk through the store, a woman greets us and says I will be with you in a minute. When she finally helps us, she wasn’t helpful at all. Every time my husband asked a question she got smart with him. Then she tells us I will let you know up front we don’t put countertops in small laundry rooms. Why would you assume the size of my laundry is small if I never gave you the size or told you that my space was small. Also she told us that this establishment has a lot of remnants but when my husband asked to see them she rudely says we don’t have those here. She claim they were in a big warehouse but never set up an appointment for us to see those remnants. We needed to get an estimate for our laundry but basically was turned away with poor customer service. Apparently your establishment didn’t want our business, so we decided to use another company. Customer service is everything to me and this place definitely doesn’t have it.

My husband and I went there as they opened on a Monday morning. We met with Stephanie who spent a great deal of time explaining the stone types and processes, what to look for, etc. I picked out the one I liked the most and asked for a bid. My husband provided her with a copy of our plan and I gave her contact information for me. She said she would work up a bid and get back to me either late that day or early the next. That was Monday and this is Friday and, still, not a word from anyone. We have given someone else our money.

We went to Orca on the recommendation of a friend while needing a small bathroom countertop. They were so helpful at the showroom, Holt was helpful and the boneyard selection was great. We were so impressed with that project we went back for our kitchen countertops. Again the showroom staff was amazing, holding my hand the hold way. Holt came and did the template and when the installation was done I was thrilled. Their workmanship was remarkable and the quartz countertops are beautiful. We are already planning on their services with our master bath countertops.
