Update after several hours and calls the situation is finally resolved.I called to cancel due to a move, they offered me a discount to keep the service at my new address. I agreed and scheduled the service this took a hour and 38 minutes on the phone. Now they don't seem to engender this and I've spent two hours in the phone trying to get it resolved. That's a total of 3.5 hours on holds mostly...I even discussed this with a supervisor to confirm the offer when it was originally offered to me. She agreed to a months credit for waiting over a hour and a half. This wasn't documented on the account and I was charged $40 this week.

We have been trying to get internet and cable since we bought this house. It has been almost 2 weeks, and nothing but a multitude of mistakes made and still no service after paying for almost 2 accounts. They don't care to correct any mistakes or try to fix anything. They just delayed our service connection again because we hadn't made a 95 payment for the 2nd account that they made for the same account, which they already 110 for the first account. We asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, and they rudely hung up or transferred us back to hold for sales. They are the worst so-called service provider I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. If I could, I would rate them 0.

Avoid $12 router

Avoid calling them online.
Was scammed by an optimum phone representative and they said it was impossible they only hire trustworthy representatives but refused to look into mysterious charges.

Last I spoke too in person seemed to know the $12 routers were $12 routering. (It's what they sent me for $60 minus the high speed Internet)

Just pathetic honestly.

Have had 8 to 10 techs out to fix my unstable internet and had them replace my router/modem 4 or 5 times with the issue not being fixed. They sent us the wrong router until this last router/modem and it's still unstable.

Don't bother with this company if you live in the Charleston WV area. Call to see if Frontier Fiber or CAS Cable is available in your neighborhood. Optimum wants to act like they still have a monopoly on this area and they don't any more - it's time to teach them that.

We have been without internet service for over a week now and cannot get anyone to care enough to come restore it. They don't even have field technicians in West Virginia - anyone who comes to work on your equipment is coming from out of state. They no longer carry WV's local news stations either. We will be switching to a new provider next week, and we'll cancel our credit card if we have to to be free from this awful company.

Staff is nice and all, but the internet suuuuuckkkksssss 😭 I hate it here 😂🚮🚮🚮🚮 oh and yall keep going up on my bill.. how tf I started from $30+ a month to $70? Especially when the internet isn’t even good.. if y’all gonna do that at least give us something better.

I'm being charged for a phone number I don't have and they tell me there is nothing they can do above it . They have charge my card for months and I can't get no help. They are robing me . I guess I will have to call the attorney general office to get this fixed.
