The Navy has been flying in and out of Whidbey Island since 1942. If you have the audacity to complain about aircraft noise at an airfield that's been around longer than you've been alive after *willingly* moving yourself to the area, you're a clown and should be ashamed of yourself.

Outlying airfield for the US Navy. No sound barriers or sound mitigation exists. Jet noise echoes into neighboring houses and woodlands.
It is impressive to watch the Jets practice takeoffs and landings but only if you have extraordinarily good hearing protection.
Extreme sound pollution and contamination of local groundwater supply are major negative factors.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The Navy is the worst neighbor ever. They poisoned our well water. They fly over our homes, schools, farms and hospital with their loud jets that are killing our wildlife, injuring our hearing and ruining this beautiful paradise.
They fly dangerously low and loud on school and work nights until after midnight.

Sooooo much fun to watch the Navy at work! It's like a fun and personal air show. But unlike a regular air show, here you can get much closer. Thank you Navy for not blocking off the streets and letting us civilians come watch 🤣
