We had a fabulous time tasting on this admittedly forest fire smokey Saturday at Obelisco. Although Armageddon appears to be approaching from the east, both from nature and the White House, a perfect way to deal with disaster is getting buzzed. Noon seems to be a the optimum time to start imbibing. The man and woman serving us were absolutely delightful, I didn’t get their names unfortunately. They put any “Seattle freeze” away and allowed us to forget about life for a while. The wines were great, although surprisingly I liked the Sauvignon Blanc and the Rose the best.

Obelisco is known for its reds, but they do not aim for the barnyard funk I enjoy. Yet, my family liked the wines, as they find my palate “gross.” I purchased some Sauvignon Blanc, and our day began with an uplifting buzzareeno. What smoke? My eyes are tearing from laughter.

I have adored this wine for 15 years now! Not only is it the best, the owners are probably the most precious people you’ll ever meet. We’ve been to the tasting room near Seattle and the tasting room in Leavenworth. Beautiful and cozy, we’d give them 10 stars here if Google allowed.

Obelisco is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Hollywood district. With a beautiful wrap around terrace, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a stunning glass of their wine. Obelisco make some of the best reds I have tasted. I absolutely love their new Sangiovese, and their 2019 Cab is one to remember. If you are looking for a spot to taste great wine, led by a wonderful team who are knowledgeable and great fun, this is the place for you!

Obelisco is a lovely, family-run winery with amazing wines! We are particular fans of their Sangiovese and Cabernet, but have thoroughly enjoyed all of the wines we have tasted there. Definitely a favorite, and worth a visit!

Fun tasting room with live music, great cheese board/charcuterie options, and great wine. Inside is cozy and close to the music, while outside is perfect for taking in those beautiful Washington summer days.

Really great service and great wines. They had 3 types of flights to choose from when I was there. I really enjoyed it and we bought a few bottles to take home. I love the wrap around porch summer house feel. It is cozy but also great for people watching. I think flights stop between 4-5 on Saturdays, so ideally book a reservation and go earlier for flights. Will be back soon!
