I have only a loan with them and although it did help me lower my monthly payment, it is 10x harder to make a payment. The app is not working properly and I have to call in and do the whole tele-payment. (Very tedious to HAVE to listen, wait, press all numbers, pound sign, etc. And repeat. )It also won't let me make an additional payment or more than the payment due. I am not sure if that is their policy to only accept the minimum so customers can't pay off a loan early. The automaton payment service even says it's a problem with my original funds, which is ridiculous since I have 5x the amount needed for payment.
It just feels like I stepped back into 10 years ago when I have to call. I am also out of state, so I cannot go in personally to resolve the matter either.
Yeah, it is only 10-15 minute phone call to submit payment once a month. This is the only bill I have to do it for and having a very busy work life from early mornings to late nights makes things difficult. I would recommend Nutmeg for certain needs, but not for convenience.

Customer service over the phone is horrible. We received an email in regards to a promotion they had going on from February 14-16. We called first day was on hold for 2 and a half hours. Got tired hung up ridiculous wait. Called again the next day same wait time left my number for a call back the call I get back is to let me know they are closed for the day to try again the following day. Well I try again the next day and same story over again. I am now in communication with the manager now the date of 2/25/25 way out of the promotion date because I can’t get in contact with anyone there for help. Well now she tells me she can’t help with the promotion. Ridiculous how they can lose a customer in a heart beat because she wasn’t willing to help or offer to help.

Update. Machines are there still but are no longer being used. They have real tellers and the drive though is open!

Machines are always out of service, drive through hasn’t been open in YEARS and I’m not sure if they even have “tellers” working anymore. The AAA worker is there and friendly (nutmeg should take notes) Would switch banks in a heartbeat but they make it difficult to withdraw money, can only imagine how hard it would be to close out accounts.

Horrible service. I attempted to change the bank account that I am paying a loan on. I received the Docusign form missing one digit of my bank account. It took an hour on the phone to get the situation resolved. I asked that a manager call me back and that never happened. Choose a more responsible bank than Nutmeg.

Every time I call or go to a bank branch to make a loan payment, nutmeg bank officials always draft a smaller amount despite been told to enter the original loan amount. This morning the same happened, but the staff didn't even apologize but was so rude to hangup. Even though I specifically told her I want to pay $350 the loan amount. Unbelievably rude & disgusting. I demanded to speak to the manager Tom in the corporate office in Rocky Hill, CT. Awaiting he call...
Almost 48hrs later, nobody call me back neither did Tom call. Meanwhile, my funds is tied up by the bank preventing me from paying then right loan amount of $350 I requested to pay, instead of $235 nutmeg staff chose to enter on her own. Reallt frustrating.

I must say, I finally got a call drom Maryanne who delightfully answered my questions. Completed all my pymts & resolved ALL my issues with so much ease. What a blessing she was indeed. Grateful for that.

This is an amazing organization totally committed to helping their customers. I will never give up my membership. When I went to convert my auto lease to purchase the rep gave me rate information. I immediately told him I would have to contact navy federal to compare. This is a life long relationship. Thank you and my family thanks you!
