Small but nice place. There is a guy that will give you a tour or you can do it self guided. They have little swag bags to give away and veterans get a coin! We went on a Wednesday around 2pm and we were the only ones there. It is free!

If you love history, this is the place to visit! Not only do they have pictures of people from WWI, but they have artillery, guns, knives, rifles and anything you can think of that associates with a war. They also have old band uniforms from Nitro High school plus some year books. There is so much history in such a small place. Definitely worth checking out!!

By far the most outstanding collection of WWI and city historic artifacts you will find. This town is a creation of WWI creation for produce gun power for the WWI effort. A community and production facility created in only 11 months to accommodate all the employees of the factory. Hospital, homes, business to meet the employee's needs and recreation facilities. At one point, over 100,000 people were involved in the establishment of the plant and community. You will find photos, artifacts, and documentation photos in the Nitro Museum. This is a must see for all who are interest in the evolution of our great Nation. Visit Nitro, West Virginia.
