Had a beef processed here with a buddy. A 1,200 pound animal. 700 pound hanging weight. The strip steaks we got back were really tiny and uneven. Amateur cutting. The loin on an animal that size should be 9-10 pounds. Got little 2-3 pound loins and dinner plate size briskets. It would be funny looking at this doll size steak if it hadn’t been so expensive. My guess is someone else got to buy my nice big beef loins and steaks.

Very disappointed. Me and my husband chose Nelson’s to process his first buck. He dropped it off in hopes of getting his horns and meat on pick-up day. There was a miscommunication on the meat part and the meat we were given was not what we wanted. On pickup no mention of horns was made. My husband called back regarding the meat and the man on the phone was very unprofessional. He used foul language and was rude. He (my husband) called back again to ask for the horns and all they could say was, “I don’t know what to tell you, they are gone.” And that was it. An experience that ruined our image of this company.

Brought a hog into process. Pretty poor experience. Did not get my meat processed as described. My hams were completely cut into steaks instead on halved and smoked, all of my lard was thrown away despite my request to keep, only one ham hock was returned. When notified of the lard they said they would take some out of someone else's animal. No thank you. When notified of my ham being cut into steaks they didn't even offer an excuse. Just said they could not help me. 200 dollars later I am pretty dissatisfied. My meat packages were muddy and 8 bags were unsealed. One of my roasts packages was ripped and mud was inside. Wow. Will not use this processor again. There are many other butchers on the area. Don't waste your money here. Filthy facility. Be aware that I have never felt strongly enough to write a bad review for any thing but this is pretty rediculous. 43 days from the time I dropped my meat until I was called to get it all.

Horrible experience. Really light on meat. Buck was 125lbs gutted, got less than 40lbs back. Quoted one price when I dropped off deer and charged another. When I questioned price change the office girl said "he decided to charge more"
Every dealing with them was with very rude and short tempered young lady in office.
As a positive, what meat you get is butchered well.

The past two times we've taken calves here to be butchered they have come up short as to what they should have for hanging weight. After talking to a coworker, she had the same thing happen to her. We won't be back. Skimming off customers orders to fill their own cases. Be very leery of patronizing this business.

They don't know what they are doing. They ruined all of the meet that we had given them to cure for snak sticks and summer sausage. Their casings were terriable. They smoked the meat so much that it was completely died out. On top of all that they charged a premium price. I would not recommend them to anyone and would not return to them again. For quality meat curing services go somewhere else

My husband came in for the first time on Friday to get us a few steaks. He stood there and waited for five minutes before an older man came to the counter and told him he needed to go around the corner for steak and a lady would be right with him. He walks around and waits for seven minutes this time before the lady stands up, walks past him and goes outside to smoke a cigarette! What terrible customer service! We will not be back!

Had a beef sent for processing. Hanging weight was 689 lbs and somehow we only got 337 lbs back. Briskets and loins were tiny. Almost like they weren’t from the same animal.
