Stunning. Incredible. You could spend two days walking through. If you stop and read everything, which everyone should, it would take a week. Plus, new additions are always in the works.

Superior museum with amazing use of state-of-the-art technology.

"A Must-Visit for History Lovers!"

I recently visited the Marine Corps Museum, and it was an amazing experience! I was pleasantly surprised that entry was free. The museum is full of fascinating history, and I was really impressed by how much there was to explore. My 10-year-old daughter had a great time as well; she enjoyed it more than I expected. The exhibits are very engaging, and it's a great place for both adults and kids to learn about the incredible history of the Marines. Highly recommend it!

This place currently has 4.9 Stars out of 5 because it’s pretty amazing. If you’re a military veteran, a history buff, or just have an appreciation for the service and sacrifices of the armed services, you will enjoy this place. I’m not a Marine veteran and I was super impressed by the attention to detail in every aspect. The grounds were beautiful. The building design was impressive. And the exhibits were well thought out, interesting and informative. I could go on and on about how great it was, but you should see it for yourself!

We have a friend who is a volunteer at this museum, thus we got an excellent tour. By learning the history of the Marine Corp. we had more respect and gratitude towards the sacrifices of the US military that provides the peace for us.
Excellent artifacts and historical lines. We were surprised to see many paintings and drawings by the people in the Marine Corp. (2nd floor). The walkway around the museum with many sculptures and statues were also educational.

An amazing experience! Bring comfortable shoes, and after the inside tour, walk on the trail outside, it is beautiful! There is no fee to enter, we visited on a Saturday and it was a decent amount of people but still easy to walk through every room and stop to read or watch the videos.

National Museum of the Marine Corps – A Must-Visit for All Ages

I recently visited the National Museum of the Marine Corps with my two young boys, and it was an incredible experience for all of us. The museum does an outstanding job of capturing the history, traditions, and sacrifices of the Marine Corps, offering an engaging experience for visitors of all ages.

My boys especially loved the interactive exhibits, which made learning about Marine Corps history fun and immersive. From hands-on displays to life-sized dioramas, there was plenty to keep them engaged. For me, as a Marine veteran, the visit was deeply nostalgic and meaningful. Walking through the exhibits brought back memories of my own service, and I appreciated the museum’s dedication to preserving and honoring Marine Corps heritage.

The second floor features a great restaurant called Tun Tavern, a nod to the birthplace of the Corps, where we grabbed a bite to eat. The gift shop staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even better.

Whether you’re a Marine, a military history enthusiast, or just looking for a family-friendly, educational outing, the National Museum of the Marine Corps is a must-visit. It’s a place of honor, history, and pride that every American should experience at least once. I highly recommend it!

By far the best museum I've ever been to. The outside is very deceiving as to how much is actually inside. It's humongous. The way everything is situated and placed is mind blowing. The details, information, pictures, videos, movies. Just WOW. Definitely leave time in order to see it all. I was there 4 hours and I'm sure I missed some stuff. Definitely worth the trip.
