Fantastic pieces made by an equally wonderful guy. Noah is passionate about his work.
We helped with a 5 day wood-firing of his kiln and he was an incredibly gracious host.

Muddy Creek Pottery is a local business run by Noah Hughey-Commers. We have collected a fair number now of his functional stoneware: mugs, teapots, bowls, and plates. So we're obviously Noah fans. The earth hued pottery is beautiful, easy to care for, and very durable. Guests to our home are quick to notice and compliment the original work we've purchased from him.

I'll add that in my experience I have always found him friendly, quick to return phone calls and a fine conversationalist. I would recommend contacting before coming out to his studio as he is available only by appointment. Don't miss out on some great Nelson county pottery!

Wood-Fired pottery from small sake type cups to large vessels.

Fired two times a year, a whole lot of effort to produce the pottery, load the kiln, maintain the slow preheat, and proper temperature for multiple days, and then a week to cool down.

Drove for 45 minutes to this address. It was very rural with no signs indicating a pottery studio but plenty of " no trespassing signs". Made our morning a bust!
