March 2020. I just love the Monkey Wrench Gang. After my great experience with my Juliet Railings, I had another smaller mailbox project. Someone hit our mailboxes that were from the 1970's and I said, "YAY, time for a project. So, part of the project was to get street numbers. I looked all over, trying to decide on the right path. I knew I wanted something solid. Then, my mind snapped, Monkey Wrench! I started chatting with Jeremy and we came to a price that worked for both of us. I designed my sign and he left me in the capable hands of Jeff the CNC guru. He loaded my design into the computer and literally 5 minutes later I had one sign in my hands.

They look great. I took them home and spray painted them and now, the world can find our street address. Thank you Monkey Wrench!

First Review.
Back in October 2018, I had gotten ahold of Jeremy at Monkey Wrench Fabrication regarding a unique request. We had taken down an old rotting deck off our house and had finally decided that we would not rebuild it. There were several issues that don't matter here, but the decision was to replace the siding on the house and to maintain the light in the daylight basement, so no deck. Which then left me with a secondary issue, how to keep people from opening the sliding glass doors we have upstairs and stepping out into the abyss.

I spent a lot, and I mean a lot of time, on Pinterest trying to come up with a solution. I finally decided on a Juliet Rail, that we could attach to the frame around the doors.

I found a lot of ideas, but nowhere to purchase anything, that wasn't a ridiculous price or had ridiculous shipping costs. I really wanted to find a local artist and support a business on Bainbridge. Plus, I couldn't find anything with that “je nais se qua” that I was looking for; something fun, useful, whimsical, and solid.

After my FB and google searches I landed on several places and called each. I got a good vibe from Jeremy and he seemed interested in my project. So, we set a time and met at the Forge.

He liked my idea and I gave him full license to play. We discussed costs and powder coating and shook hands on the deal. By the way, his partner, who I met each time was the sweetest baby, total side note.

Anyway, the cost to powder coat was more than he anticipated, and we shared the extra cost, yep, he honored his word, he asked for a bit more due to the unexpected extra cost and we split it. He also came out and drilled the holes when we were ready to install, all with a broken leg. Seriously, I was floored.

The quality is solid, and the aesthetic captured exactly what I was looking for. I love how the reflections of the iron and the trees co-mingle. And, I love that he took my idea, and played. The work was done on time and at an affordable price. I am super happy that I met the Monkey Wrench Gang. I love my Juliet Rails. Thank you for the excellent experience.

Jeremy and his team have done several projects at my current and previous home. 2 safes, 2 dog gates, general contractor stuff, you name it either Jeremy or someone from his team can do it. His creativity and designs with the metal pieces we have had done are always stunning and beyond what my wife and I expect. Wrap all that up with the fact that every bid he has given has been well within reason is why I give this company a 5/5. Would be a 10/10 or 100/100 as well.

These guys are top notch! I started a pretty simple project with another guy but after months of issues with his work I found monkey wrench. Things moved fast and quality is spot on. They did so well I expanded the project. These guys are trustworthy and honest. I have more plans for then in the near future.
