A hidden gem I never knew existed. Attended a private party here yesterday and was very impressed. I imagine after the snow falls this place must be packed-Great Sledding hill! Actual rest rooms in addition to Port a Potties. Changing rooms also next to swimming area. Lots of shade around the pavillion which is great on a sunny day. Not the easiest place to find but with GPS getting there is not bad at all.

I enjoy hiking here especially in fall, spring and summer. Winter is good for sledding. There is a nice pavilion and you can have a peaceful walk around water. There is also a Sandy beach area, playscape, and basketball court. Plenty of parking.

Small, cozy and a varied landscape from grass to beach to small waterfall. You can walk all the way around the pond. Nice park with swimming, unless the pond is closed because of high bacteria counts. Glad they take time to test it. They do not have public lifeguards. Cheshire landmark but on weekends or peak times it can get over run by out-of-towners. Pretty in the fall.

Great place to bring the family. Swim in the pond, fishing, basketball, pavilion, plauscape, lots of open space.

It's my favorite local place. I love the fishing. People complain about the WATER SNAKES, and mislabeled them as poisonous, but we just have to tell them there are no venomous cottonmouths here. They are all just over fed , fat and happy water snakes.

Came to this park for the first time today for a family church party and it is a very nice, big, beautiful park. The kids playground wasn’t bad at all. But the only thing that I think really needs a serious update are the restrooms. The women’s restroom was pretty disgusting with big nasty mosquitoes on the walls, old dead bugs hanging near the windows, The air hand dryer was old and rusted, & the toilets plug up very easily too. But other than that we all had a great time. Would definitely come back.

I have been coming here for over 20 years and it's a great place for family and friends to relax. A nice updated playground, many areas to grill, picnic and have a get together. Fishing, basketball court, volleyball area and updated bathrooms. I would like if the park & recs clean up the beach area and swimming water areas more. Also, a walk through few times a week to pick up trash left over from visitors would help maintain the cleanliness of the park for families.
