I have NEVER purchased a pork roast where I’m cutting off nearly as much fat to throw away until my aunt got one from Minder Meats! Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of money! I have a video showing the piss poor amount of meat. I’m not letting my aunt purchase anymore meat packages if this is the quality you think is okay to give people.

Local butcher shop that raises their own food which many quality restaurants buy from. Great deals on a variety of package deals of beef, poultry and pork as well. Prices seem a bit high but worth it for the quality of meats offered. Chances are you've had some of their products if you eat at smaller owned restaurants in and around Kitsap county. Twenty four hours advance notice if you plan on buying from them so they can get it ready for you because their meats are that fresh. I believe there's also another shop behind them that has produce of same quality and also locally grown.

My grandpa used to come get meat and what not here when I was young and I had never actually went in he would just always tell me how much he enjoyed the service and quality. Went in with a buddy yesterday without really thinking about it and it was FANTASTIC. They had such an incredible display of products and the nice lady made us all a shrimp tacos while we waited! Really excited to go back for more!

NASTY!!

Writing this review having just thrown away 2 Porterhouse Steaks and ordered pizza! Steaks went directly from this place into the deep freezer, vacuum sealed from them and all. Tool them out 30 hours in advance and tossed in the fridge. They had a weird smell almost immediately, not like spoiled or rotten but very weird and off putting. Cooked them up and they tasted straight garbage. Still had this smell/taste i csn only describe as weird and pretty gross. I literally has to brush my teeth before eating the pizza. I've never thrown a steak away I've cooked before let alone a $15/lb steak in 2023 with these prices. Now that I've thought about it the smell/taste was almost like a "gamey" taste from deer. Either way yuck!

Additionally when I ordered them I ordered at least 4lbs of porterhouse over 4 steaks. I got a t-bone (even written on it) and two of the steaks were 0.8lbs. Who the hell wants a 0.8lb porterhouse. So even if the nasty steak didn't put you off make sure you're extremely specific and don't trust them to use common sense on your order.

If anyone wants the 2 Porterhouse I've got left they're FREE. I'll stick to Costco or Safeway for my steak!

Packaging and quality assurance needs to be improved. The meat itself wonderful products they put out my mother has been buying from minders meats all my life she is a loyal customer however I don’t know if I will be purchasing bundle packages from them after this experience. I bought the budget package a few months back and as I’m cooking through all of the meat I’ve noticed that the cuts are a little bit sloppy and unevenly cut some steaks are way thicker and others are noticeably uneven same with the pork chops, very sloppy. I think they could improve on the quality assurance for customers because I’ve had steaks that are very very fatty felt a little robbed on the actual substance of my red meats. Lastly, almost ALL of my packaging has had holes I leave meat out to thaw and I end up with a puddle of blood in my refrigerator or on the counter 90% of the time. I have ruined 3 pounds of ground beef alone thawing under cold water because I didn’t notice the vacuum sealed bags had holes in them. Very frustrating the packaging is very subpar and would not trust it in a deep freezer for very long EDIT : @ minded meats yes Madison renkel

Minder Meats is an absolute favorite. The service is phenomenal and could not ask for more. If your order will be rather large to suffice you for 3+ months then make sure you call 24 hours in advance, at the latest. When walking in to the shop, remember this is a butcher shop so do not be discouraged. It is a family business and local too. Most of all, they have cut my cost of shopping per month by a significant amount. I was spending $60-75 a month on just meat, I purchased a $200 order that will last me 4-5 months. On the high end this will cost me $50/month but I should hit the $40/month range. This has saved me time, and money in the long run only buying once per quarter. The steaks and roasts taste so much better and do require you to tame back your seasonings as they just simply do not require as much doctoring to get a wonderful flavor. I have even used their cuts as bartering tools and came out on top. Thanks guys!

The meat was great. The gentleman that placed the order was great. The experience of going to pick it up was horrific. The office lady was very short, aggressive, the opposite of anything customer service oriented because I had mentioned i had a coupon from the valpack. I forgot it home and tried to pull it up on my phone. After paying there was no direction of where to collect my meat. It was a Christmas gift. Just due to the interaction I will probably never order again.
