I have had Tim do two projects for me and would give six stars if that were an option. The first was an aluminum sea hood for a Pearson 30. He cut the parts using a plasma cutter he built himself. I agreed to do the finish work so the delivered part had oversized welds. When I ground away the surplus, there were no voids—the welds were perfect.
The second project was a steel water lift muffler to replace the rusted out original. Again, the workmanship was superb.
It is a pleasure to work with Tim—his shop is equipped with both traditional and CNC machines including a plasma cutter and a water jet cutter.
You will not find a more competent craftsman, and he is fun to work with.

Called the owner for service on my stainless water tanks for my sailboat. I told him I was in no hurry but would like an estimate. I was at Point Hudson Marina, which is easily accessible for him to come by and take a look. He said he was "really busy", so I didn't expect a follow up. After a few weeks I gave up and went with someone else. I suspect he's a big job only type of outfit, meaning if you are one person with a small project he's not going to bother following up. I would not recommend him unless you plan months ahead and have a big enough project to be worth his time.
