The people at Matthews Sanitation Services are great! The team who did our septic disconnect was very experienced and competent, and they maintained their good attitude even when it took much more time than expected to find the tank (it was more than 50 feet from the house!) because I did not know where it was. The team who came to pump the tank was also very competent and had a good attitude even though it was after 8 pm (due to a co-worker being ill and this team having to take on more than planned for the day). The person who answers the phone is very polite and good at scheduling, and both teams of workers called me to give me updates on arrival times. This is a very well-run business with great employees!

I ran into an issue at 330pm on a Friday, my septic line had became blocked up. Called Matthew’s and at 430pm they were out at my house working on the issue. They had it fixed in less then 30 mins and also informed me of some other issues I have that I may wanna take care of soon. I will be usuing Matthew’s for all of my septic needs in the future!

So I bought a new double wide. Had a septic system already where I was going to set it. It’s been there for 27 years with no problems. Needed someone to come out and inspect it and write an approval letter. They came out pumped my tank off, ran a camera down to my distribution box, and denied it because it had some roots in the box and a few lines. Didn’t bother trying to fix the problem. Told me no where on the land would perk except for 300 yards away on the other section of land across my driveway. So I would’ve had to have a surveyor come out and re survey the land and add that section to the section that the double wide is going. Someone else came out fixed the problem in a hour and got it approved. I feel like they thought they were going to get a bigger job out of the situation and we’re just too lazy to fix the problem that was there. Literally took no time to fix and told me I was roughly looking at $15,000 to put in a new system. Fixed it and got it approved for less than $500 through someone else. I’ve had multiple people tell me they’ve had the same problem if not similar situations with them. To say I was not happy and now 3 months behind to moving into my new place. I’m very disappointed in the work they provided. Now I’ve been in a camper for two months and not sure how much longer I’m looking at being in the camper.

Matt came to the house today and was amazing and professional. He informed me on a lot with my old house. Went above and beyond with his job on showing me things I didn’t know and gave me pointers and tips on how to take care of my unit. The office staff was great and helped me with my bill and as a 100% disabled vet, made things easy for me. This is the best service I have ever gotten in Halifax County. I truly appreciate all of you. Thank you for the service you provide.

I called them. It was a sudden emergency with our septic system, on a Friday afternoon. They checked to see if i could be worked in, and told me that I could. They were here within an hour. They worked hard to unstop a stopped up drain, and then they were gone. This is why they are considered the best around here. Thank yall so much!

I was very pleased with Jose and JJ and the work they did. Jose kept me informed as to everything they were going to do, and he also wanted me to inspect the inside of the tank to be sure it was empty. These 2 gentlemen were professional, courteous and they did excellent work. This is my 2nd time using Matthews and I will continue to call them in the future for my septic system needs.
