The M.L. Keefe Community Center is a place one can go to arrange to have assistance in meeting basic needs, learning about community resources, and preparing to enter the workforce. This facility has amazing staff members that will work with you to get you what you need, and get your immediate needs met quickly. It is a very welcoming, judgement-free atmosphere that works to help the community when they need it most.

Special props to those that were there during the Valentine's Day 2022 fire and to all those who were apart of ML Keefe CC, American Red Cross, and everyone within the community that donated to help all of us out! Not only do I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, but you all have taught me many valuable lessons that are definitely helping me now!

Overall, if you need assistance related to basic needs, education, or job resources especially, then M.L. Keefe Community Center is a great place; Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it!

The people here are so kind! Very helpful for every situation! My son went to preschool here before they moved it to another school. The staff genuinely cares and loves what they do. They have helped me in so many ways. They also have great community activities and shows. Just recently we saw a drumming show for kids. They have some great ones coming up too!!!

They call it a warming center however the heat gets shut off and it is NOT WARM in here. In addition, the coordinator, Mr. Lopes, is extremely ignorant and arrogant and disrespectful. It’s confusing where the funding for this place is going. Maybe the other services provided on the upper levels deserve the reviews being left, however, the treatment of the human beings staying at the warming center needs to be improved and Mr. Lopes should be looked into because he is extremely disrespectful and it’s quite obvious he isn’t using the funding in ways he should be. He acts as if he’s better than the individuals he’s providing services to. They hoard and hide the donations. The rules are inconsistent depending on who’s working. There’s a huge disconnect in information and a lack of communication amongst staff leaving everyone confused as the rules and guidelines are changing daily. Again, Mr. Lopes acts as if he’s better than these people and his funding should be revoked until he can act like a better human. WARM UP THE WARMING CENTER PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

Keefe center is great. Every time I go and it's about 2-3 a year the people are wonderful and very friendly. They always find a way to be helpful. Thank you to everyone in that center.

Very nice people.
There you can receive assistance with many different needs you might have.
They have a food pantry once a month residents of Hamden can access. Also other programs to help those down on their luck. If you are in need dont hesitate to ask them there.
Something that is so very kind is a program once a month where girls who get their periods can get supplies every month without the shame and embarrassment that goes with being without.
Help for: Christmas...presents .food..Thanksgiving help with Turkey and sides.
This is very needed for many and we are grateful to have this center.

Just moved to Hamden and having some issues with the home I moved Into they’re helpful, they have a lot of people coming in and out the few times that i have been here. There is community services, resources such as energy assistance, rental assistance, education services, preschool assistance, food pantry and many more. I only Needed Help with my issues moving from this home but it is nice to know that there are so many programs and that there is hundreds of ways they help. I have the honor to work with Mrs Sharon (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) but she is a very well mannered woman who is about her business and she gets things done. She genuinely cares and gives you service that doesn’t feel like it comes with judgement. Mrs Sharon gets the job done weather it’s in person or over the phone. Other programs feel like they come with judgement, or you feel like you’re just another person looking for help here they commend you for using your resources and they’re very uplifting and family oriented. It’s a great place and you can go far using them as a resource weather it’s education wise or just simple help with heat.

I have attended to Hamden Adult Education Centre which is located inside that building. Good place. You may find something interesting to learn such as ESL and Career Transitions. Go for it.
