4/5
I'm writing this review after several calls and emails have gone unanswered. When I called to order drywall, my sales guy Al was knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I received my order on the date, 10/31 and time that it was supposed to be delivered. The delivery guys were a little rough, but I expected that. I have a tough driveway and I informed Al of the characteristics of my driveway and the possible issues when I made the purchase. No problem, the delivery guys have seen it all, I was told. When the truck showed up, I advised they might want to back down my sloped gravel driveway, but the driver said the next drop was in the other direction, and he didn't think it was necessary. They unloaded my order with minimal issue. 2 sheets of 4 x 12 were ruined in the lift. I anticipated some loss, so it was not a big deal. When they tried to leave the trouble began. The driver could not make it out of my driveway and trashed it in the process. After multiple attempts to get out they had to call a wrecker, which I informed them there was one in town. While they were attempting to get out, I assisted by shoveling gravel while the truck dug deeper and deeper. When the wrecker finally got them out, the driver apologized and they were on their way. I took lots of photos of the damage and have included as many as this review will allow. I'm writing this review now because this is not how I do business and I don't think this is how anyone should treat a customer who just spent over $1300 on a drywall delivery. The fact that I have not received any correspondence from Joe or the company is a joke.
1/17/19 Update
I am here to give an update to my original review. I was contacted by Chad the day after I wrote the original review. I was informed that the reason my calls were not returned was due to Joe leaving the company. It's understandable that people leave a company and sometimes it takes time to pick up from where they left off. Unfortunately Joe did not leave a list of things he was working on. I'm not surprised, not sure many would. Chad apologized and said he wanted to come visit my home. He was out the next day and saw the issues and we talked about how to correct my problem. We worked out a plan for them to take back the extra sheets I didn't use and for them to supply me with the rest of the items I needed to finish the job. I really feel like they took the extra steps necessary to satisfy the customer and correct the earlier issue. Things happen, and some times bad timing happens too. My experience was great at the start with Al their sales guy, then bad with the delivery and Joe the former employee, but was all corrected by Chad and Cory and their commitment to make their customers happy. I will use KBP in the future and would recommend them to family and friends.
