Winery: I met Nick for a tasting on my lunch break at 1PM. All ten wines included in the tasting were delicious, and I’m impressed by the diversity of quality wines the LaNoue DuBois team is able to craft! Highly appreciate Nick’s expertise, knowledge, and conversation - he felt like a friend from the first moment and had an answer for all my questions about winemaking.

HarvestHost: It was quiet and peaceful night in the tasting room parking lot with good sun exposure and easy access via the main road, even in winter. They’ve got a spot down near the river during summer too.

If I could give LaNoue DuBois Winery 6 stars, I would. Stayed on property in our sprinter van through Harvest Host (a MUST for boondocking stops), and fell in love with this winery. The atmosphere indoors and outdoors are both stellar - the winery indoor hosts a beautiful and large area for seating and also a large meeting space/conference room, and the fenced-in outdoor area was spacious and perfect for our pup on-and-off leash. Doesn’t hurt that it has a stellar view of the mountains right from the tables outside.

The wine somehow even topped all of that. Do yourself a favor and do the full 10-wine tasting which is somehow only $10 (?!?) and INCREDIBLY tasty. Not a single one missed, and that’s super rare. Especially for a smaller operation! The best part though was chatting with the owner, Rick, who is one of the nicest people we’ve encountered on our travels. Could spend all day hanging out at LaNoue DuBois. Do not miss this winery on your travels!!

My wife and I love to seek out local wineries on our travels, and this time we found a gem! Rick guided us through a tasting of all nine of this year’s offerings and shared with us the growing methods, the weather the year of the harvest, the maturation in the bottle, and even one mistake that turned into a success! Then he invited us downstairs to see for ourselves how the wines are made. What a treat!
Back upstairs, my wife and I had all kinds of trouble deciding which two bottles to buy. We lean red, so that cut it down a bit. We love wine with nuance, so in the end we went with the Cabernet (not as heavy or acidic as California Cabs can be, but with so much flavor), the Marechal Foch (woodsy and fruity at the same time), and we couldn’t resist a bonus surprise third bottle — the Merlot! Fruity but not sweet, and cherry forward. I’m drinking the effing Merlot!

My wife and I stopped for a tasting on our birthday week vacation and was pleasantly meet and warmly welcomed. After our tasting, although we enjoyed many of their wines, we decided on a bottle of their 2022 Leon Millot. Very good...

This small winery has some really great dry reds, a few unique grape varieties you don't often see and all the wines taste great with excellent wine making techniques.

We shared a flight, bought a bottle and a slushy wine. Rick helped us and was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. We had such a great experience! We’ll be back!
