We drove 65 miles to check out Kirby's, and it was worth the trip! I had the halibut with sweet potato fries. The breading on the fish was crispy and tasty. The fish was perfectly cooked, as were the fries. The tartar sauce is very good, and the pineapple coleslaw was sweet and tangy, cold and crunchy. My companion enjoyed her cod and seasoned French fries. Servings are very generous. It was too cold to take advantage of the outdoor seating at this obviously popular spot.

Fantastic fresh halibut! The cod was good too. Fries were yummy. Garlic cheese curds were super delish. Their house-made tartar was awesome with fresh dill!! And the pineapple coleslaw is the best we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back. Staff were so helpful and friendly!!

The best thing we had was the garlic cheese curds and pineapple coleslaw. The cheese curds were big chunks and lightly breaded, probably the best I have ever had.
The fried halibut was fresh and tasty. A little greasy for my taste, but that means a 1 or 2 piece is enough. The tartar sauce was AMAZING. Not big chunks and not runny, not too pickly, and the fresh dill was perfect in it.
We love getting calamari as an appetizer but it is a little different here. Here it is in thick strips, almost like a stick. It was good, just not our preference.
The garlic fries have a garlic mash on top. They aren't tossed in minced garlic or anything. I think it would be amazing with their smashed red potatoes, but I didn't like it much on the fries.
We are excited to go back and try their other things!!

This is my go to place for fresh fish. This trip I tried the deep fried cod. It was very good. The pineapple Cole slaw was yummy. French fries needed fresh grease though.

Purchased a fresh, smelt fish today from them. They told me its a fresh fish from this year's from Columbia River. Came home started preparing and opps it falling apart like it was been frozen for full year. I know how fresh smelt taste and old frozen fish. I don't know about other fish but it was the first and last time I bought from this store.

Amazing food, a little on the spendier side, but still well worth the cost (too be expected for fresh seafood). They also have the best tartar sauce i have ever tasted!

We found this place by accident. Was so pleasantly surprised ! They have the freshest yummiest fish and the batter isn’t too thick. They also have options for kids like chicken strips and have our ketchup obsessed kid the cutest tiny ketchup bottle. Highly recommend if you want legit fish and chips.

Sits On the outskirts of Longview in Lexington area a little tiny place you'll blink and miss if you don't know about it . DO NOT MISS the chance to try this spot. Oceanside feel and taste . Fresh Fish and Crab and daily specials! Love the friendly staff and beach decor .
* NO WARNING ABOUT THE BONES IN THE CLAM CHOWDER!! *
Ugh That was a close call !! Big bones found in the Salmon Dip .
