I will absolutely never get my engine work done anywhere else. John and his wife are absolutely amazing. They’re very transparent and very good at what they do. If you want quality engine work done or machining work this is the best place for it. I just got my LS1 engine back and it looks amazing

Dropped off my tdi block to get decked. I was quoted a very reasonable price compared to other shops. I've have very bad luck with other places like over boring my block or taking way too much off the block or head, messing up my piston to valve clearance or just taking forever to get my stuff back or getting quoted a price and when you go and pick up your stuff and it's somehow $200+ more.

I got none of that with John's specialty services! Excellent surface finish. Got my stuff back a week earlier than quoted! Glad to find a good machine shop, I was starting to lose hope.

Side note the two puppy dogs out front are sweet hearts and wouldn't hurt a soul. They just want you to throw the ball lol

I will be bringing all of my engines to him and referring all of my friends and family.

So far this shop has built two motor for one was a stroker for my ac cobra the other motor is a 1.8 Subaru motor that I put in my trike the motor run awesome he doesn’t know it but I one more motor I want him to build for me

After a few bad run ins at other "machine shops" I've definitely learned a few things. John's is the place to go! I refuse to have my machine work done anywhere else.

I was told about John’s specialty services by a friend of mine who has used him for multiple years. So I called explain my situation and was told they can take care of my needs. As I was waiting almost 3 months I found out that they had recently messed up on some machining work on my friends engine. Although I should have been cautious and seen it as a red flag I didn’t and proceeded to pay nearly $5000. After receiving my engine and starting to assemble it I had found there had been a mistake in the machining process. I had to take it back and wait nearly 2 hours to have the mistake fixed, at this point I had wasted an entire day of assembly time. After assembling the engine and installing it it has been running for less than two months and just under 2000 miles. At the current moment the engine is seized and garbage. On top of what I paid for them to provide a service I also spent nearly $5000 on other new parts which include and are not limited to new oil cooler new oil pump new turbo and complete gasket set. The shop does not do any assembly work so when things like this happen they can blame it on whoever assembled the engine and not be responsible for any failures. I now have to spend another $13,000 for another new engine to get my work truck running again. I will never use this shop again or recommend them to anybody else nor will my friend. Please be cautious and do more research before you do business with this shop.

Had machine work done on my Toyota block; cleaning, magnafluxing, decking and boring. Was really impressed with their work. Great prices and it didn't take anywhere near the time I was expecting. Will continue to bring John my machining work in the future.
