I contacted JC videography in November 2021 about filming our wedding video in May 2022. I specifically asked for a sample of their work with letters/vows voiceover. After discussing pricing, I booked their services and put down a deposit Thanksgiving week. They said they would reach out closer to the wedding about other details. I sent the schedule for the day at the beginning of May. A week before the wedding, they confirmed the address. They did not reach out about any other details.

Lauren showed up to take the videos. I personally greeted her to make her feel welcome. She did not ask for anything specific, just followed the photographer’s lead all day. She never asked about voiceover, lighting, sound, etc.

I asked about the timeline for receiving our video June 21-one month after the wedding, no response. I asked again September 7, and I called. Finally, they messaged me back September 29 saying the video should be done in a week. October 15, they asked what songs I would like to use, and I sent the songs. November 4, still no video, I asked for any updates. December 4, I asked for updates again, and they asked for my email to send it to. But they still didn’t send the video until December 9th-7 months after the wedding!

Then, the videos were sent via Dropbox, to which we had to subscribe to be able to view them ($10/month). We asked about getting the file on a disc. They said that would be no problem and that they would mail it the next day. We NEVER received it.

The video of course had no voiceover with vows, which I asked for originally. They said they could send us instructions for how to add them, but after sending our phone number, they never responded or reached out again.

Overall, this business has TERRIBLE communication.
The price was in our budget.
The video turned out fairly well, except our vows were not included, which was something I requested and they agreed to.
It took 7 months to return our video, and I do not think we would’ve gotten it at all had I not kept reminding them.
