When items are in stock, Industrial Safety is a good distributor. However, the website lies about the stock of drop shipped materials, by design. The attached photos show the website's deceptive "in-stock" claim and customer service's response about the delay.

Unless you want to call the distributor to check before ordering every item, I would find one that takes basic precautions to be accurate for customers. This order is from 9/12 and the website continues to read "In stock" as of 10/3.

As per my email to them:
"Here's the deal:

You did not even acknowledge the order until 5 days in. I had to inquire, then wait for a response. Days after THAT (now a full week later), we find out the item is not in stock and will be a month out.
Is this what we tell our client?

This is our first order with your company; meant to be a trial run. Cancel the order and do not solicit us. Lesson learned."
Their response? "Your order has been cancelled."
Got THAT response immediately, ironically enough.

As others have mentioned here, this shipping and availability issue is the worst possible flaw in a business that deals in literally shipping safety equipment, accessories, and parts.

Worse, a customer service that appears to use AI in response to inquiry and doesn't answer the phone is an added "nope". Had this company been great, we would have added them to our supply chain and used them regularly.
Nope.
I hope they learn from what their customers are telling them. You never know who's doing the ordering.

I have been doing business with Industrial Safety since 2012. The owner Chris, is very attentive to his customers needs as are his employees. They are very easy to do business with, even in these difficult supply chain times. I have been involved in PPE/MRO Procurement and Sales for a long time. I can say with confidence, Industrial Safety is one of the best distributor suppliers I have worked with. We've been doing business for over a decade!!! That should say enough. I wish there were more stars to give.

I purchased logo'd safety vests for my construction company a few weeks ago and the lead time is very reasonable. I called Customer Service and they were able to immediately assist me with my inquires. I received the vests and they were made exactly how I asked for.
