We had our late summer wedding at Historic Tuckahoe and it was perfection. Holt and her event team were a pleasure to work with and are all so wonderful. They accommodated our 200-person guest list and could easily handle a party of much more or much less. The grounds are stunning and were well manicured, particularly the garden area where we had our cocktail reception. They were flexible and accommodating to ours and our vendors' wants and needs always. Pretty much anything we asked, they said they could make it work. Truly a blank slate to make your wedding day your own. We visited the venue in all the seasons leading up to the wedding and it was so beautiful every time!

We enjoyed the walk around the grounds of the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson. He lived on these grounds from the ages of 2-9. Fun just walk and wonder what life would have been for him during that time. The grounds are well kept with spring flowers in full bloom and expansive considering where the plantation is located. A $5 donation is requested by not required. Would love to see the inside of the house. I have heard that it is occasionally open to the public but I'm not sure when.

Very fun! Historic homes and ghost tales! Might not be quite as interesting for some kids. Pretty scenery. We went during haunted Tuckahoe so they had some extra activities that the kids enjoyed. The headless horseman was the best!

If I could give this six stars, I would. What a nice place just to look around and be in nature. It was blissfully quiet on a cold January day, which makes it all the better. The place is amazing in how expansive it is beyond just the grounds, featuring a quarry, springs, garden, kitchen, several outbuildings, school house, memorial cemetery...the list goes on. They even have two free ranging border collies that are just the absolute best and a shy cat. 100% worth the visit, will recommend.

Beautiful grounds. Home closed to tours today, but met the owner and we'll be back. So thankful this home is preserved. A piece of American history ❤️. We didn't have cash, but no worries they accept Venmo.

This definitely a must visit for those who admire nature as well as History. The architectural features of Tuckahoe are great. This is our second visit. Tour guides are great and they take pride in this historic place. One can spend couple of hours here in garden, grounds and relax. There are also few super friendly dogs here

This was the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson from 2 to 9 years old. He first went to school here in the little school house next to the Randolph big house. The plantation originally had about 24,000 acres. It is now down to 600. Unfortunately I couldn't take photographs of the interior of the house as it's still a family home. We did get to see the 1st floor of this antebellum home. That's only available with the tour guide. There's a beautiful flower garden and well maintained yard. This house and estate is not wheelchair accessible. There plenty of benches to sit on as you tour the yard, garden, and Cemetery. They charged 10.00 at the door and I paid Groupon 26.00 for 2 people. Well worth eather price as the tour guide was very knowledgeable.

This venue is absolutely stunning! We were so impressed at how spacious it was for everyone to explore and roam. The history of the home was also such a cool touch for the guests traveling from the UK. They thought that was neat. The views to the river made for great photos. The staff at Tuckahoe were kind and so professional. they even helped me find some of my vendors! Thank You!!!!
