We love this place!! We own Lizzy B'S BBQ Rubs and Seasoning!! Harpo carries our seasoning in their store!! We have bought 2 beef from them, and they both were amazing to say the least. We don't mind the trek to pick our meat up because its that good!! We recommend Harpo very Highly!!

What a gem!! Walking in you do not smell a butcher shop, you smell clean. The owner is very kind and knowledgeable. We bought several products. Locally sourced Amish cheese, infused bacon, seasoned brats and a seasoning that just replaced my go to! We will be back!

I’m so happy with #1 the quality of meat we got back! Now, I understand that the steer we paid them to slaughter and process has nothing to do with them, but the product they gave me back is so neat and tidy! Every cut looks beautiful, carefully packaged and labeled! Not to mention, very clean facility! ? LOVE! I’m so happy, I hope I never have to buy meat at the store again! -Brittany Wilkinson

We just stopped by while visiting some family in the area and instantly fell in love with the jellies, and seasonings they have. They have the best beef jerky I have ever had as well, and we can't wait until next time we're in town so we can stop by again to stock up on beef jerky and jelly!

GREAT PLACE!! Nice, friendly folks that actually greet you at the door, providing tasty samples! Our friends in Blue Eye, Missouri told us to stop and get the pecan peach preserves, and the spicy breakfast pork sausage & bacon, which we absolutely loved. We also bought the homemade cheddar cheese & garlic summer sausage - both were EXCELLENT, and we made some fine sandwiches on our long drive back to Phoenix. We will most definitely visit Darin 'Harpo' Harper's DAS BUTCHER HAUS in Green Forest, AR on our next trip passing thru! (Signed, Henry & Kim)

In the last year, I’ve done business with 3 butcher houses and this one is by far the messiest. My ground beef was covered in frozen (but thawing) beef & blood. They don’t vac seal it, so blood drips everywhere. They don’t have a public bathroom so I couldn’t wash my hands after touching all the bloody packages. Yuck! Thankfully, I had water bottles and soap sheets in the car.

Once I got the beef home, I had to line my freezer with plastic and then get to work scooping ground beef out of the extra plastic above the clamp. After that, I had to wipe down every ground beef package to avoid a nasty bloody mess in my freezer.
Buying a whole beef doesn’t have to be so annoying.

This may not be a big deal to a lot of people and that’s fine. I don’t enjoy the bloody mess and since I know butcher houses can do better, this house deserves 3 stars.

Also, I thought it was super odd to be told that a whole beef wouldn’t have a TriTip because of its 600+ hang weight. I was told that my beef “probably” wouldn’t have one and that whatever was there would be ground up. I did get the tri and paid $10 extra for it according to my receipt.
I’m pointing this out because I’ve had 590lb-910lb hang weights and they’ve all had TriTips.

The owners greeted us immediately and were super friendly and helpful! They let us taste the jalapeño and cheese summer sausage! It was delicious! We are grilling the ribeyes tonight! Get your meat at Harpo’s!
