Such a phenomenal company with great craftsmanship. If you buy a 1911 from them they will take care of you. They truly stand behind their product. I can speak from personal experience as I own the American 1911 model. Alex the founder and owner of the company is very accessible and easy to talk with about your 1911 project and or customer service needs.

Wow. What an amazing Shop! I received my custom ordered 50 GI Model 3 at Christmas and went to the range two days later. The M3 is better than Perfect ... it's perfect and it's mine! As advertised it took approx 20 weeks to build, looks/feels/shoots beautifully. I purchased 3 extra 50GI magazines, the 45ACP Conversion kit, 3 extra 45 ACP magazines, and a spare tuned extractor. This could be a Safe Queen, but it is NOT. It is my primary carry handgun and is a constant range companion. It has seen 1200+ rounds, shoots straight, and has been 100% reliable with Hornady Critical Duty (45 ACP) and SIG Elite 45 ACP FMJ. I am now loading my own 50 GI Ammo and will be sooting it very soon. I am also reloading 45 ACP because it is fun and I want to shoot at the range more often.

I just left the range proudly carrying my new GI American 1911 45ACP. It shoots as good as it looks. Fresh out of the GI Range Bag, I fed it 300+ rounds of 45ACP. It was a mixed batch of 230 FMJ, high-end Personal Protection rounds and a handful of custom PP loads using Barnes TAC- XP bullets.

Performance was awesome and flawless (the American, not me). Absolutely recommended if you are in the market for a top quality, handcrafted 1911.

Their Customer Service is very responsive, promptly answering questions I had (eg, warranty, customization, etc).

A great purchase and manufacturer.

I have owned a 50 cal guncrafter glock upper for the past 6 years. Even though it is a little bit expensive to shoot. It is definitely a fun gun to shoot.

The gun I ordered worked fine until it broke as i shot it and the bullet flung nearly hitting my 3 year old son >:(
(I took good care of it the issue is there is a time bomb in it)
