This review will be long, but we are aware the staff had helped us as best they could and maintence were generally very fast with helping with any issues. Prop manager was quick to communicate issues about the building/ any issues we had. This review will mostly be about the property itself. Due to our experiences, I believe a review is necessary.
The apartment itself is big compared to other apartments around the area for the price we paid (~1000 sq ft and ~$1800+/month for 2 BR). The appliances were older and we did notice something’s were on the verge of falling apart through our time there, although we rarely touched them. Pet hair were painted over and walls were easy to mark just from moving in. Through the one summer there, the pool had to be closed multiple times and once for a couple weeks due to issues. W&D sometimes had issues but can request refunds through the app (although inconvenient).
Now some of our concerning issues with this property:
My roommate and I rented here June 2023-Mar 2024. The first day we had moved in, our dishwasher and bathroom sink started leaking. Maintence was quick to come help and fix these issues but did take a couple hours. Our bathtub also was ALWAYS clogged, which we noticed when we first moved in. We requested for this to be fixed, was for a couple days, but clogged again and we had a feeling this wouldn’t be resolved.
In Aug 2023 (exactly a year ago), a hand sized rock shot through my 1st BR window at ~7am and shot across my room to the closet. I woke up to shattered glass all over my room and all over me. The lawn mower had been mowing the improper direction and had hit a huge rock that was flung into my room. No one had checked in on me until I reported the issue when the leasing office opened. It took up to a month to get my room cleaned (which I did most of the cleaning for my furnitures), window/carpet replaced, my items reimbursed, etc. I basically had to move out and move back into my room all over again because my room carpets had been replaced (few weeks after the incident) and it was a huge inconvenience to have had to pay full rent and no rent reimbursement. When the window was being replaced, it was too small so there was an open gap for ~ a week where critters were coming in. Most of my furniture had tiny pieces of glass all over them and I had spent so much time cleaning & gathering necessary information for all my items that got damaged. My BR furniture needed to be moved to the living room for the carpet replacement, just for us to find glass on our living room furniture and carpet. We requested a carpet replacement for our apartment due to us having to wear shoes with little pieces of glass everywhere and that was denied. Prop. Manager had offered us to move into another apartment, but that would’ve been even more inconvenience for us, as it had been few weeks of me dealing with this situation already at that time. Later the year, we found more glass in the living room carpet. Only reimbursement I received was from the lawn mowing company insurance after ~ a month. I had to throw away so many new items I just bought before I moved in in June and replace them, which was a cost and general inconvenience. I guess I was lucky I had been sleeping or I could’ve gotten severely injured.
In Jan 2024, I had noticed someone hit my car in the property parking lot and there was a scrape on my white car. Unfortunately, I was unable to do much about this because the property does not have cameras in their parking lot.
Unfortunately these experiences were not worth it for the rent price. We originally were glad to find a place with more space and were willing to pay more for that, but with these freak accident issues as well as other maintence issues, I am unable to justify this rent price as well as renting here again. I’m grateful for how maintence and prop manager were able to help us quickly, but many inconveniences during our residence here.
