John was extremely accommodating and diagnosed all of the issues & provided a detailed breakdown of the cost associated with each of the tasks needed. Rick, Cris and all the guys over at Glastonbury Oil and Service are fantastic. I've brought late model cars and old junkers to them and they know exactly what they are doing. What impresses me most about these guys is their honesty. The first time I ever walked in, I was told by the Subaru dealership that I needed new breaks and four new tires (at 40k miles). I didn't like the price that the dealership quoted so I stopped by Glastonbury Oil and Service to get an estimate. Not only was their estimate 30% below the dealer's estimate, they actually told me to come back in 10k miles because both the brakes and tires were fine.

I walked in there prepared to drop several hundred dollars with no questions asked and ended up not spending the money until much later. This type of thing has happened consistently with all three cars that I've brought to them over the past couple of years.

The don't do unnecessary work. The accurately diagnose problems and they don't overcharge for the work they do. Finally, when they do work on your car, it's top notch and they stand behind it.

Everybody needs a good mechanic and these guys are the best.

These guys are good! One example several years ago was them lining up with Honda a transmission replacement as our mini-van was only 50 miles within warranty--the transmission work was done at the Honda Dealership (per the warranty) so they didn't get $ for doing this for us--just went the extra mile. I highly recommend them--honest and easy to work with.

They are great at explaining what work was performed or needs to be performed and they are very transparent. The first time I brought my car, I was treated like a long time customer. I have a 2011 BMW 3 Series that was completely disassembled under the hood as the result of a “budget friendly” mechanic doing a hack-job on replacing the valve cover (which is a very tedious job). I had it towed to Glastonbury Oil and Service and less than 48 hours later my car was ready to go. On top of that, they helped me out tremendously by working with me on the price of the job. I went in there worried I was going to have to give them my whole paycheck, and left with plenty of money to spare. I am so happy I found this place! I had been going to a garage recommended by my boyfriend and every time I got my car back there was a problem.
