Does NOT stand be hide their work!!
Purchased 2 new 6.0 heads from them and not even a month after they were installed the motor started smoking and making a noise. Found that it had a malfunction with the valve Givens installed on the heads. The valve went into the piston and the engine was now junk and the cylinder head had been destroyed. Called Givens and he just kept throwing one excuse after another at me and he did not care. The same excuses that I have now seen on many other reviews (injectors too big or heat issue). Then told him he put the valves together in the new heads so this was his work and they should warranty it since they were only on the truck for less than a month. He then told me he had another used head that he would sale me but he wasn’t doing anything about the other head.

Sadly I had the same experience as others here, had the heads redone and they recommended new positive style valve seals, which were installed, and almost immediately they started coming off. I could fix it myself but they weren't at all interested in finding out what happened or fixing it, other than bringing them back in, which means days of work taking them off the engine, etc.

Would never recommend them! Owner was completely rude. We dropped our motor off on Jan 16th mind you we drove 2 hours one way. Jan28th called and they had to order a sleeve because they didn’t have the right one. Called on feb 14th to get a status update since we hadn’t heard anything. Owner said it would be ready the next day. Feb 15th we drove the two hours one way again that the motor wasn’t done. They had order the wrong sleeve. 9 days later they order the correct sleeve. By March 24th we got to pick up our motor so three months later .... guess what they didn’t seen all of the motor home. March 25th I call to ask if they would meet me halfway and numerous times said he would meet us I have to leave a message. One hour later I call the shop and get to talk to the owner. Says there is no way he can close his shop to drive it down to me one hour from him( he was going to try and have his brother drop it off for him). I then proceed to tell him then we need to be compensated for having to drive there again. That’s when all fire breaks lose. Yelling at me Starts saying none of it is his fault and he can’t help it and that he would ship it or meet us anytime.... I just offered for you to meet us and you said no. Not only have we drove 12 hours in a diesel but you should compensate us for our wait time a few weeks turned into months. Nope you know what the owner does hangs up on me mid sentence. I immediately call back trying to tell him first you should never hang up on a customer and he needed to lower his voice at me bc I was just teying to talk to him about the situation. He then proceeds to say it is still not his fault. I said well like I was saying now it is race season and we are missing out on races. He then says it’s still not his fault, that he is short staffed and he doesn’t have time to talk to me especially since I am not his customer and as I was saying I am the also the customer he hangs up on me again!!!! I call back to the shop no answer . I call his voicemail and leave a message saying that sir I am the customer too besides my bf bc I paid for it with my debt card check the receipt. So my bf drive another 4 hours there and back to get something they for got to give us and when my bf got there the owner refused to come out and talk to him he was hiding behind his skirt (office) bc he knew he was in the wrong !!!!! I paid over $700 for the work completed and all the trouble !!!!

I don't understand the bad reviews because they really pulled me out of a jam. I live in a different state and had a engine that was told by many shops that it was beyond repair. The reason was because the block had several bad spun bearings. I was told the caps would have to be replaced with no parts in the USA. The rod bearings were welded to the crank from heat. The engine was ran with no oil until it ceased up. I tried to find parts or even a engine with no luck. They fixed my crank, repaired my block, reconditioned my rods and head. They also found the engine rebuild kit . Thanks for all your help.

Givens built 1 motor and did the machine work on another and both are great running engines. I'll be having them do a 3rd motor in the near future.

Buyer beware! This place is terrible ! We had them do a valve job on our valves and this guys sticks on such crappy valves that they fell off! We still are trying to sort out what he did to us he refused to give our money back or make it right in anyway even after telling him we were taking legal action he's done this to several other local people do not bring anything here !
