I had my cellar hatchway replaced by Dennis and his team and they were exceptional. The door fit perfectly in place and does not leak. There were a few scratches on the door and Dennis sent his team back a few days later to repaint the entire door. Dennis took the time to talk with me as a person and not just try to make a sale. He is a genuinely nice person. Great job, great price, great experience overall.

A few months ago, Gibson cellar door installed two basement windows and a replacement Bilco door at my property. I patiently waited many months for the windows to arrive, but I was so excited about this project, I really didn't mind the wait. My primary consideration in replacing my metal basement windows was that they were 35 years old and unattractive. This project was all about improving the aesthetic quality of my property. So you can understand why, when the work was finally done, that I was so upset by how sloppy the finished product looks. As you can see in the photos I've attached of the two new windows, the caulking was done without any consideration to neatness and the final look. So what I had hoped would be a really nice enhancement still looks not that great. I called Gibson, the owner of the company, after the install about this issue and also sent photos of the sloppy caulk job. He really didn't seem to care at all and even insisted I should be happy that my basement would be less drafty. Well, I never had any issues with the old metal windows being drafty. My basement was always nice and warm. He did offer to come look at the windows, but never showed for the appointment. When I called to find out why he never showed, he said he had covid. I reached out again a week ago, and didn't so much as receive the courtesy of a response. The other big issue is that I was given no warranty or information about the manufacturer of the windows. At nearly $500 per window, you would think you would have some kind of warranty and company to contact if there is a problem. This was a really upsetting and disappointing experience.

Dennis and his team were exceptional and went well above and beyond expectations. The project ended up being more involved than initially thought (it is a 200 year old house!), but Dennis devoted the extra time/days to have it come out perfect. I can't recommend Gibson Cellar Door enough. The only sad part is that the job was so well done that (since I only have one cellar door), I'm sure I'll never need their services again.

We needed a new Hatchway cellar door and like many of us do, "googled" the best company for the job. Gibson had excellent reviews and they were also local, an added plus.
Well we called , made an initial appointment with Dennis, who came out, looked it over, gave me a price. Dennis was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We decided to go with him and his guys were over the next day to install!!
Chris and his partner were also excellent!! Chris went over with us, the entire procedure, they went to work and their work ethics were impeccable! After a few hours, they finished up and the job was beautiful. I was alittle concerned about my new siding, as we didnt want any damage done to it, and it was perfect. We were very well pleased with the job they did, from start to finish. They absolutely take customer satisfaction seriously and they have another satisfied customer with us!!
Would highly recommend Gibson Door company.

All aspects of my project, which included a new bulkhead and repair of a decrepit cement stairway and rotten inner door and frame, went very very well. The owner Dennis was informative, straightforward, very pleasant, and the rest of the team from office staff to on-site crew were just great. The price was right. They were also great with my nosey dog!

We needed a new hatchway door and had several quotes done. Dennis was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The price was very reasonable. It was a few week's wait for the door to arrive but well worth it. The 2 men that came to install were prompt, professional, and polite. They cleaned up after working and promised to return soon to finish the mortar as it was raining that day. To our pleasant surprise, they arrived bright and early the next morning and finished the job. Both days they offered to show us the work they did and answered any questions we had. The door looks great and we are so happy we went with Gibson for this job. I have already recommended them to a number of town residents. Thank you for a great job!

Very nice. Dennis was informative and didn't try to up sell me on something I didn't need. A competitor pushed very hard for me to have concrete work done that I clearly didn't need. It took a little while longer than I hoped to install the door after I ordered it, and more contact with the office while I waited would have been better, but they did the work spectacularly. I waited to write this until we had a few heavy rains, and it's perfect. Well worth the extra couple weeks wait to have it done so well.
