We enjoyed the evening, $55 per person isn’t a bad price for dinner & entertainment, a beverage other than water could have been included though. The mixed drinks were $6 which was reasonable. The dinner was buffet style and the food was edible, I enjoyed the salad, fresh fruit, & rolls with butter best. The butter was a nice touch actually and salt & pepper in little packets would have been appreciated by everyone at our table. Smaller portions of the beef would have been easier to eat since the utensils were plastic but it did have good flavor. The acting & the interactions with the cast were fun! Tina Sea was a hoot! l guessed who the murderer was so that was cool! Overall it was a nice evening and we would be open to attending a Maverick Productions Murder Mystery dinner show again!

Thank you for a wonderful night! My friends and I had a great time. We appreciate the thought and coordination that went into the act. It was interactive, just difficult enough without being impossible, and engaging. All of the actors seemed really nice and answered any questions we had (related to the mystery). The food was good and they had a great spread/variety. There was some inconsistent heating of the food, but it wasn’t cold. The atmosphere was awesome, from the venue to the lighting to the background tunes. I felt that the space was plenty roomy for all of the people in there, no issues at all. The food line does get very long, but it was finished up by the time the production started, and also if you get there early you can get food first before everyone else. I would definitely go to another mystery night!

AN HONEST REVIEW!!

Food was mediocre and the chicken had NO seasoning. It tasted like water. There was absolutely no sign of salt. You'll have to get any and all beverages from the bar as there is no beverage station. Good concept but bad acting. The show was okay if you like dry humor. The acting was subpar and drawn out but not too bad. The theater is in the heart of downtown Norfork (grandby) so the atmosphere was nice. I guess the experience is what you make of it and ours was okay.

Do not get roped into this. They ran out of “food” (horrible). The place was packed like sardines. No table service, plastic utensils. The show was STUPID. Half the audience left half way through.

The experience was lovely and a wonderful Night out with my husband. The show was interesting and you had to pay attention to detail. You got to speak with the actors and investigate and learn clues yourself. You actually got to do some self sleuthing. The food great. People complaining it's buffet style gotta realize buffet is meant to be fast and quick but I loved the sweet potato mash and the fruit they served was very fresh! They had a great variety in the buffet line up and kept refreshing when needed. I never had to wait for drinks since they had the 2 bars and the bartenders paid quick attention. The cheesecake was delicious, my lord. So for a dinner and entertainment package, this was well well worth it! I definitely will be coming back and enjoying maverick productions! All the actors and actresses were also very kind and were quick witted with any silly and weird questions asked. So kudos also to the improv!

If I could give this zero stars I would. There was no real show or investigation during this dinner. The acting was the worst I have ever seen, there was nonstop technical problems with the mics and half the show was about the audience looking at “evidence” that did not even make sense to the mystery.
The food was absolutely horrific. It was buffet style with no organization so the line was very long and food was not warm at all. We were served raw, red chicken in our meal and when we brought it to the managers attention they denied it being raw, and said “what do you want? Something for free? Just eat the other food.” The bartender initially agreed the chicken was raw then after speaking to the manager, said it was not raw despite it being literally red/pink.
I think the biggest tell about the food was how much food was thrown away in the trash can from peoples plates.
Not even 5 minutes into the show, the couple behind us got up and left, and we should have followed.
This was complete waste of a Saturday night and of our money. So unless you enjoy horrible acting, a story line that doesn’t make sense, no real show, cold/raw food and a management that gaslights you, stay away!

UPDATE: response to the owners.
1. We actually did not eat the food. As soon as we saw the RAW chicken we threw all of our food out (just like the people around us).
2. The conversations did happen and these things were said to us. With witnesses.
3. No one threatened anyone with a review? We wrote an honest review about our experience to warn others not to make the same mistake we did by attending this show.
3. We stayed for the show in hopes that it would actually get better. But boy was that a mistake.
4. I have also tried to contact this company about this experience and have not been able to reach anyone to go over it. This review was written well in advance to trying to contact the company
5. It is interesting out of all the 1 star reviews from the same show that is written here( because there are many), you only choose to respond to ours? And the manner in which you have is disgraceful and pathetic for a company. Only proves my point how unprofessional this theater and production company is and why people should stay away.

Whenever someone would like to respond to my email regarding this I would be happy to discuss:)

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY . We were cramped into a small place. It was not worth the $55 price point . The acting was horrible and sounded like everyone was talking over each other . Food was horrible, I was better off going to one of the surrounding restaurants to get a hot meal. As I am reading the comments I see that you are providing responses that make it seem like us the customers are lying . But honestly you just need to take the feedback and do better . It just wasn’t good , and you need to get a bigger space if you are going to cramp everyone together, provide better food, and better clothing for the actors . It just seems very cheap and low budget .

It was not a good experience. There was no stage and it was hard to see and hear. Seems like only one microphone that all the actors were sharing . Over 100 people packed into a tiny space . Food tasted as if they brought it from somewhere and served it on a plate . The acting was bad and all over the place . Seems like a group of people got together and wrote the script in thirty mins .We left within 30 mins of the show , we couldn’t not sit through 2 hours of that . It was pretty cheesy and not worth $55. Not what I expected at all, I would like to give the murder mystery show nothing chance , but maybe somewhere else . At least the people working there were nice but overall horrible experience.
