I came in on a busy Sunday, and Maria was so welcoming—she immediately came over to assist us. The dealership had a great atmosphere, and I would definitely buy from them again. At first the buying process was easy and smooth - I had gone through a divorce and needed certain paperwork and was told they would handle it. Then there was an issue with 1 of the papers and while I tried to get the EX to sign off and do what he was legally supposed to do, I was contacted by the original sales agent advising that I would have to pay thousands of dollars by that Friday. All of the communication outside of the physical location is via a text messaging system, and it made it feel sketchy and unsafe. I'm happy with the car I purchased, but I will not be returning for any future services.

Our experience with Gary Rome Kia of Enfield was horrible. We purchased a 2020 Kia Soul LX on April of 2023. Right away after a couple days of use, had to bring it in with engine light on code P0303. They had to replace cylinder 3 since it was misfiring. We also noticed a noise coming from the front wheels but they didn't do anything about it. We were already disappointed since the vehicle that we thought it was going to be a reliable car, had mechanical issues. Also, we had put our trust in Gary Rome dealership. This is when the situation got really bad. On November 22 of 2024 we brought the car for service for the same noise in the front tires that has been going on since day one of purchased, also for the vehicle not responding when giving it gas sometimes while driving it, and once again, code P0303. The next day, Saturday 23rd of 2024, we received a call from the service advisor, Kayliana Davis telling us that the car needed an oil change and that it was showing no oil on the dipstick. Also, huge disappointment, she told us that it needed a new transmission. The oil was done by them at 39,579 miles and now it had 48,915 so not even 10K miles. So something has to be wrong with the engine also that it's burning so much oil. Two weeks and half later, Mrs.Davis calls me rushing us to bring back the rental since Kia wasn't going to pay for the transmission. She told us that it was a mistake that an inexperienced technician made and that the transmission was good. I told her that I need it to speak with her manager so I spoke to Traisden Toccaline whom is the service manager. Mr.Toccaline confirm to me that it was an inexperienced technician that made the mistake and apologize about the situation. So I ask him if they had checked the 3 things that I brought the car in for and he tells me that no one had mentioned anything about it. I was so upset and once again, disappointed. So once again I gave him the information of what I needed them to check on the vehicle and he told me that himself and a technician were going to take the vehicle out for a test drive and check. A few minutes later he calls me and tells me not to worry about bringing the rental back that they knew what it was and that it was going to get fix. He didn't say that it needed a transmission. So a week later, I called to check on the status and guess what Mr.Toccaline tells me, that Kia had approved the new transmission and it was going to take a few weeks to fix. So I asked him when he was planning to tell us that the car neede it a transmission and he just stood in silence. After a few weeks of waiting for our vehicle, I wrote an email to Gary Rome CEO of the dealership and he never responded. Instead I received an email from David Nathan General Manager telling me that Mr Rome had fowered the email to him and that the car was almost done and maybe that same afternoon we could go and pick it up. I had dealt with a situation with my daughter where we had contacted the CEO of a dealership and the gentleman not only responded, but replaced the engine with no charge what so ever. And our daughter didn't even had a warranty on the vehicle. But, they had made a few mistakes not even compared to the big mistakes that were made by the employees of Kia of Enfield. I wrote another email to Mr.Rome and once again, no response. We will never put a foot in any of Mr. Rome's dealership's and we recommend to all of you, that if you want to avoid headaches and want to buy a reliable vehicle from a trust worthy dealership, Gary Rome dealership's ain't the ones.

This past weekend I visited Gary Rome Kia in Enfield with pressing safety recall questions about my daughter’s Kia Soul. And also costs, timing, and processes involved in tending to that recall. Questions that, to both my daughter and me, weren’t being responded to well at a different Kia outlet.

Several years ago I bought a car from Gary Rome Kia in Enfield myself and was very pleased with that process and their customer service throughout. Including a recent manufacturer recall of my own for an anti-theft update.

My daughter’s car with the safety recall was bought from an independent car dealer, not from Gary Rome, but based on my own happy experience at Gary, the pressing serious nature of the corporate Kia recall and all our concerns about her and her kids and family safety, and that her one family car was stuck in the repair next steps process at a different Kia dealer, I stopped by in person at Gary in Enfield to ask for help in understanding what was happening so I could maybe then help my daughter get this resolved.

I can’t say enough about how patient, kind, and informative their service advisor Kayliana was when I visited in person to try to figure things out and try to find some peace of mind. Kayliana was super helpful during my visit and offered to help with further assistance going forward. Thank you very much Kayliana!! And Gary Rome Enfield too!
