Dependable and well run family processor. Please note they have changed policies, and you must bring in your game skinned and quartered as of 2024. Excellent cutting with prepared options (particularly like the chipped deer, breakfast, and Italian sausages, the pepperoni and teriyaki sticks are fantastic as well). You get the maximum of your game in my experience, not just a dew basic cuts and averaged together the way some processors seem to work, and they will fully cut as you request.

They are good people but seem overwhelmed at times because they're basically the only game in town.

They are pricey for what you get. I wouldn't say their facility is sanitary if that's important to you. Finally, they recently changed their rules where they are providing less service for the same price (IE: you have to do quite a few things before dropping off your deer vs just field dressing it appropriately).

If you're in a pinch, you can use them, but I wouldn't go out of my way to use them anymore.

I first want to say they’re very friendly and very helpful over the phone and in person.

Here’s my problem-
I dropped off a doe a few weeks ago. I want to 20 pounds of hunter sticks made. I know from experience hunter sticks are not cheap to make and they are expensive around 200 bucks for what I wanted. I wanted the rest of the Deer made into Italian sausage and have a few steaks cut out.

Fast forwards-
I go pick up the deer and my grand total was $470. Ok 270$ for some steaks and Italian sausage! I added a picture just to show for reference.

In hindsight I should’ve asked how much everything would be before proceeding to have the Deer process at their facility. If I would’ve known it was gonna be $470 I would’ve never use them to process the deer and I’ve gone somewhere else.

I called Gadell's and talked to Linda re deer processing. I explained that I wanted the deer skinned, the loins stripped out (remaining in one piece), saving one unprocessed hind quarter, and the rest of the deer ground into burger. She said that was not problem. After I hung up I realized I had not asked her the price. I immediately called back and told her I forgot to asked her the price and she told me $90. I drove 35 miles to get there and when I again specified what I wanted done, she said that was additional grinding of the meat an it would be $120. I tried to talk to her about what she had told me on the phone, but she was adamant that the price was to be $120. After talking to her and letting her know that I had just recently had a pacemaker installed and could not process the deer myself (as I normally do), she agreed to drop the price to $110. When I .went to pick up the venison, I asked her if she didn't feel bad about quoting me one price on the phone and then after I had driven 35 miles to give me a different price. She did not budge. Very poor business management. She made the mistake, but she said it was just so busy that she didn't think it through. She made me the brunt of her mistake.

I have been to several butchers and not gotten my specific deer back. This place weighs them, takes your picture with your deer, and is a very friendly atmosphere. This is definitely my new spot.
