I have several Fortis products. Fortis is still my favorite for certain parts of my builds. I purchased this and the K2 system as well. The tolerances are slightly off. The mag release scrapes the walls of my lowers. I bought a FDE anodized button and that helped. I got a full FDE anodized for my cerekote lower and it’s fine. But both the release and the button cap of this one are off. Together they simply were not able to release the mag without my thumb. I have put it in 3 different lowers to test. 2 M4e1 anodized. Also a Stag Arms. It rubs against the wall on all of them. The release button was basically half chrome. It looks like basically a silver button. It’s very bad looking. That’s why I just purchased another FDE anodized button. They simply work better. It is not worth the trouble for me to go through the return process for this small part. So I want to be transparent and say I did not try. This is just a review from someone who buys these things and if it’s not really a heavy investment, I just store them for parts or toss them. I build lowers as a hobby. So having extra parts is normal for me. I just use this to keep the spring on another release I have. I can’t use the cap in a lower and the release itself has now grinded the sides enough that it works with my black anodized lower well enough. They all hold mags very well no matter what. It’s about the pressure it takes to release the mag. This is simply based on a buy, try, and review.

I've been putting Fortis products on AR15 builds for a few years. Absolutely love the aesthetics and the fact I can color match builds on top of adding functionality to the builds too. Their SLS/SS safety selectors to their K1/K2 castle nut and end plates are functional products while their magazine catches and magazine release buttons will add that extra flair to any build. Excellent machining on the aluminum and the anodizing is well done too.

Their handguards like the Camber are well designed and match well with billet uppers and their mlok QD sling mounts work well and look great too. Every product I've mentioned are all products I've personally used and I've not had any reliability issues over the past 4 years of using them on multiple builds. I have multiple pictures in this review but there are many other builds I've put their products on not pictured.

Customer support has always answered questions quickly about inquiries about products and I've never had an issue with purchases, packaging, or products from them. I've put reviews on all these products on their website if you want to learn more about individual products mentioned. There's too much to mention in a general review of Fortis but I'm personally a fan.

Excellent product, very well made and the green anodized finish is stunning. Easy to install and fits great. Perfect for use with a 7.5” barrel. I’m extremely happy with this rail!

Perfect solution for my desired build. I like my rear irons set as far back as I can get them. The Clutch is more than just awesome looking, it's really well made. You can feel the quality of the build. Works flawlessly.

Easily one of my favorite go-to manufactures when it comes to the AR-15. As if their stellar offerings weren't already more than enough to keep me coming back, but their customer service is 2nd to none as from my own personal experience, they have gone above and beyond on at least 3 separate occasions. Good CS is getting harder to find these days, which Fortis has it in spades, but more often than not, you'll never need to contact them because they really have pride in their products, and it shows. From their muzzle devices, to their handguards, down to their small parts, they hit it outta the park on all counts. I can't wait to give their new bolt catch a test drive!!! Oh, and their ambi lowers are one of my favorite, really can't go wrong with them, LoL
