What a beautiful place! One of the best dinners we’ve had around here in a long time looking forward to going back. The service was fantastic from the host being super kind and friendly to the waiters being very attentive constantly looking in on us and making sure our water and wine never ran low. Definitely worth a visit if you’re are around this area.

This is a dinner review. The atmosphere is festive, the service is competent and friendly and the cooking is terrific. We had a tableside Caesar for four, entrees ranging from fancy baked cod to bacon cheeseburger. All were beautifully executed and hit the spot. We will repeat customers and will repeat again

Our friends were visiting from the Rochester, NY area and we were looking for not only great food but some live music too. We had been to the Fife & Drum years ago where we sat at the bar for drinks and apps.

We immediately loved the vibe of the F&D with its old style natural wood dining room and live piano music with Larry Ham playing the Steinway!

The food and cocktails were perfect. My wife had the Prime Rib and I ordered the Seared Pork Chop both cooked to perfection. Our friends had the Salmon and Filet Mignon both tender and juicy.

After dinner we moved to the bar for a final cocktail. Excellent pour from our bartender btw! We enjoyed another set by the piano man, Larry Ham.

The entire evening was wonderful as we chatted with Larry and the F&D owner. The Fife and Drum in Kent is a special place with excellent food, a great vibe, piano music on Friday and Saturday and a super wait staff!!

Super quaint restaurant in adorable town. The food was great, as was the service and the ambiance. Stopped in kind of eatly on a rainy Friday evening. There was a lovely fire roaring in the corner. The train rumbled by and the piano player really set the mood. We were right next to him, and the volume was just right. The place filled up fast. We enjoyed the Vegetarian chickpea masala with quinoa and a marinated portobello on Naan with (delicious) fries. The staff was very attentive and it seemed to be a local favorite. Many had reservations. I think we were lucky to get a seat.

The salmon here is great and in a very large portion. The pork chop was well liked, even by people who don’t love pork chops. The pasta with sundried tomatoes and a cream sauce is okay. The flavors were there but the sauce separated on the plate.

We did not stay at the Inn. We had dinner at the restaurant. Both of our meals of scallops and pork chops were excellent. The pork chop melted in my mouth. The flavor was amazing.

This was my late husband and my go to restaurant. The food is outstanding and the service is professional. The flaming duck, filet mignon with bernaise sauce is the best!! Also the Cesar salad mixed with fresh ingredients table side can’t be beat. The rooms are gorgeous. It’s just outstanding.
