The highlight of our cruise was the fly fishing excursion. I found Family Air Tours & Hook Up Fly Shop during an internet search and booked them outside anything offered by Norwegian. Best decision ever. Jim called the morning of the trip to confirm our height, weight, and shoe size to make sure our waders and boots fit perfect. We were picked up and delivered to the shop, put the boots and waders on, then walked out to the plane. It was our first time to fly in a plane that small and it was a smoother flight, take off, and landing than any of our commercial flights. The views going to and from the fishing spot were amazing. We were all beginner fly fisherman and Jim was patient with us while teaching us to cast. After we were good enough Jim said he would put us on the fish and after that it was up to us. Jim also pointed out the surroundings and said to be sure to take the time to look around and soak in the environment because very few people get to set foot where we were. We caught 30+ cutthroat trout and had an amazing time while making lifetime memories. Jim and the entire crew were awesome and I highly recommend them and hope to do it again someday.

Just had the most amazing trip of our cruise with Jim the pilot and Dave Smiley our excellent guide. Jim flew my wife and I to the Anan Bear Observatory in the Cessna 185. An incredibly smooth 40 minute flight with such a soft landing we didn’t realize we were down. Then Dave took over and walked us 2/3 mile to the observatory expanding our knowledge of the bears, eagles and the area every step of the way. We were the first to arrive and had the place to ourselves. 3 viewing decks and plenty of bears. We saw black bears and a huge brown mother bear with 2 cubs before anyone else arrived. A truly remarkable and unforgettable experience and our utmost thanks go to Jim and Dave who got us there safely and made it by far the best excursion of our Silversea cruise (we booked this independently from the cruise line). I implore you to book this trip if you are at all wavering. You will not be disappointed.

Great service and knowledge. Jim and his team flew us to a cabin on a remote lake cabin. Both pilots Annabelle and Eric are experienced and friendly. Excellent advise on fishing lake. We caught more trout then we could count.

This was just the highlight of our trip to Alaska! Taking a flight from Ketchikan to the Misty Fjords was stunning. Jim was a kind, safe and great pilot. His narration and playlist was first rate. The stop in the Misty Fjords in the middle of the lake took our breath away. Highly recommend! Thanks Jim!

I could not recommend them more! We had such an amazing time and our pilot Jim was an incredibly kind and enjoyable human to be around. Furthermore, Cyrus was so helpful. Not only did he pick us up and drop us off with accompanying pleasant conversation. My partner is new to fly fishing and Cyrus set him up with all the flies that would be helpful and happily answered all his questions. Jim and Cyrus genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice time and we couldn’t be more grateful!

We had a once in a lifetime experience with our guide to the Anon Creek bear observation deck. We also learned how to fly fish and it was a perfect introduction to the sport. I cannot recommend this friendly and professional team more.

Guided trip with Evan as part of our annual vacation. Evan was professional and friendly throughout the whole trip. He called before the trip to make sure he had the correct size for my boots and waders. On the water he shared his knowledge of the river and handled everything. He walked me through the approach for each section we fished, coached me through the casts and presentation, and took care of everything. We caught a good amount of fish and some that were on the bigger end. Would definitely book again, hopefully next time during the salmon run. We even got to view some of the wildlife.
