I had my license plate stolen and I filed a police report. The license plate was used that day it was stolen, but my police report ended up being filed after. I got 'billed' by ExpressToll for the use of my stolen license plate for $8.10. However, I didn't receive any notice of it until 9 months later and now it's racked up late fees, collections fee, and a civil penalty fee so now it's $58.10. I requested a photo and it's my license plate being used, but it's a completely different car (mine is a Subaru, the photo showed a Honda). The civic penalty fee ($25) was added while I was emailing the customer service rep (and I was waiting for a response). This place is basically a scam that looks for any reason to rack up charges on you.

Edit: Thanks to the reply from ExpressToll. They ended up waiving my fees (since it wasn't my car + stolen license plate). Overall I wish I didn't have to go to Google Reviews to get things fixed (whereas I worked with 3 customer service reps prior and that got nowhere)

I received a charge suggesting that my car, which was totaled in April, was pinged passing through a toll zone at 3:21am on August 6th. I provided the police report and insurance documentation definitively proving that the car in question could not possibly have been pinged, but expresstoll customer service refused to acknowledge the clear glitch in their system/technology or offer any evidence of their own to counter what I provided.

After a month of back and forth a representative did eventually refund the charge, which I appreciated, but they never acknowledged the larger issue that they seem to have a technical problem or glitch that they are evidently not interested in understanding or resolving.

I have been using Xpress toll Epass for over a decade and this last year. My credit card has been canceled 4 to 5 times allowing my debt build up when it should be automatically taken out. I spoke to a manager and she said that some company takes your credit card off for no reason and she couldn’t help me or seem to care about my situation as a single father and couldn’t pay the bill when I had everything set up Accordingly for the replenishment. I told I will have to pay down the road and she canceled my account and I just got a bill from collections!! I am Utterly disgusted And almost don’t want to drive on E470 ever again!! I’am beyond pissed and would rate them -5 five starts if I could!! I want to talk to the manager’s manager..

When you read through these 1 star ratings, they are mostly accurate. I am a partner in ownership of a tractor trailer. When I called in inquiring as to why our best pass was not run on one out of FIVE toll plazas, they refuse to answer any of my questions. They couldn't even spell the name right! I know for a fact the trailer registration is spelled correctly... SCAM! When I asked why they refused to run up my best pass, they claimed that they would have, which is impossible because they ran it for the other four plazas with no issue. We did not receive a first bill at all, and the second one has a late charge. Reading through the reviews. I am not the only one with this problem. All we get is some generic response saying to email them at some email address. Don't bother because they don't fix anything. They would have fixed it at the time I called if they could.

I was just waiting for the guy with the indian accent to get on the line and yell at me. This is the biggest scam ever. We have no proof they're even actually associated with the toll road.

Provided all my information to the first representative, who simply transferred me to another representative and then a third representative. Each needed to get all of my information again and... I sat on hold in between each transfer for multiple minutes... I'm sure they're call center stats look good because they do have low hold times they just multiply it with unnecessary transfers. Then, They have the worst possible site and payment systems. If you're calling you have to type in your credit card numbers and stuff on your phone and it doesn't pick it up like it's supposed to and they have no way to manually enter it either. Not to mention I never received notice of an infraction so there was bonus charges when I went to renew my license plate. Two separate occasions apparently, last year... I didn't receive any kind of mail notice even though my registration address at my home address have been identical for multiple years. There's no picture there's no dates there's no nothing just one single line item that it's paid. I highly suspect since there was two infractions last year, they're not sending the notices just for the bonus money... I am now and forever I'm going to go entirely out of my way to avoid this service and it's roadways... which are not clearly marked or I probably wouldn't have been on them to begin with...

I received a bill from ExpressToll. I went online and paid the payment. After the payment was done it just closed out the payment page without no confirmation. I had to call the customer service in order to receive a payment confirmation, what a joke! If you pay on line, it would be nice to get a confirmation without having to call for one.

Denver could cut their truck traffic in half if this toll road would put themselves on the pre-pass system. Nearly every trucking company uses it. And all of those trucking companies prohibit their drivers from using this toll road because the plate pay system gets charged to the lease companies and not the actual trucking companies. Absolutely ridiculous.

If I could give this scummy organization minus stars, I would, but what do you expect from a government organization, especially one in a blue state? I purchased a new car from a dealer so therefore, I had TEMPORARY plates. I promptly registered my temporary plate when I got home and the downhill landslide started from there. First, they did not back date the transactions that took place on my temporary plate properly and charged me the egregious license plate toll fees and I got an outrageous toll bill. I was patently assured that the charges would be removed and that the back date would be reset and that I would be charged the AVITOLL rate. After two bills where the charge was NOT reset, I had to call and demand to speak to a supervisor who swore that I was just to "take her word" that although I didn't have an adjusted bill on my account, and I had to fight to get the adjustment explicitly printed and sent to me. And ultimately, they were adjusted, but it shouldn't have taken an ACT of GOD to get this resolved. They would have just preferred that I got tired of fighting the issue and walked away while my extra $$ were pocketed.
